Tom Bloxham MBE is Chairman, majority shareholder and founder of award-winning regeneration company Urban Splash. The business has won over 420 awards for architecture, regeneration, design and business success. It was in 1993 aged 29 that Tom founded Urban Splash with Jonathan Falkingham, MBE; together literally two men in a shed they redeveloped an unloved building in Liverpool into the successful Concert Square mixed-use scheme. Since then, Urban Splash has undertaken more than 60 developments, creating thousands of new homes and jobs and investing nearly a billion pounds into successful regeneration projects across the country including; Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, Leeds, Bradford, Sheffield, Bristol, Plymouth and Morecambe. In 2016, Tom and Jonathan launched House by Urban Splash – a modern housebuilder committed to creating homes using modern methods of construction (MMC). In 2018, the company acquired a factory from SIG PLC, vertically integrating the manufacture of its homes, and in 2019, House by Urban Splash completed on one of the sector’s biggest ever deals, a £90m transaction which saw Japan’s biggest housebuilder – Sekisui House – and Homes England become shareholders in the business. The company has created – and sold – hundreds of its customisable Town House homes in Manchester, Birmingham, North Shields and Salford and since 2019’s landmark deal, has been appointed on large-scale neighbourhoods in which it will create its homes; Wirral Waters in Merseyside, Inholm Northstowe in Cambridgeshire and a site with the National Trust in Cumbria.

Tom Bloxham, MBE

Emily is the Sustainable Performance Lead at Entuitive and has over six years of experience working in the engineering industry. She has experience working on projects in various applications, including transportation, institutional, industrial, healthcare, residential, and restoration. Emily’s positive attitude and desire to problem solve at every stage of the project allow her to work proactively with the client, design team, and contractor to achieve the desired result and sustainable outcome for each project. In her role of leading Entuitive’s Sustainable Performance group, Emily works collaboratively with service experts and design teams throughout the firm to design for low-carbon structural and building envelope assets. Through research into the most up-to-date sustainable design best practices, and development of tools and processes to facilitate sustainable design into Entuitive projects and processes, Emily and the Sustainable Performance group are contributing to reducing the carbon footprint of the projects we deliver. Emily has coordinated firm-wide educational events and resources as well as worked with consultants to measure and reduce our own organizational impact on the environment. Emily is committed to delivering value for our people, our clients, and our communities and she is dedicated to reducing the carbon footprint of the built environment and working towards a sustainable future.

Emily King

Mark is a Principal at Entuitive with over 30 years of experience in structural engineering. His extensive background and experience range from designing small community facilities to managing the design of large-scale multi-million-pound developments, both new build and refurbishment, often incorporating significant infrastructure works. Prior to joining Entuitive, Mark held various senior leadership roles where he was responsible for managing and overseeing structural engineering projects. Mark’s diverse portfolio of work includes major retail projects for clients such as Debenhams, Marks and Spencer and Crest Nicholson. His most notable projects include Three Mills West in London, Dudley House Paddington London, and Riverside Development Hemel Hempstead.

Mark Goddard

Tom is an Associate at Entuitive. He has experience in both the design and analysis of commercial, institutional, residential, and industrial buildings, including several renovation projects. Tom has experience with various forms of project delivery – general tender, construction management, sequential tendering, and fast track. Tom is currently working on the adaptive reuse of the existing Knox College building at the University of Toronto to serve as the new home for the Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design and the Rideau Centre Redevelopment/Expansion in Ottawa. Tom believes in a collaborative team approach to project design and delivery and the mentoring of junior staff. His previous experience includes working in the Advanced Concrete Laboratory at the University of Western Ontario under an NSERC Canadian Graduate Scholarship. His research focused on the long-term durability of concrete and the structural behavior of high-performance concrete.

Tom Greenough

Tristan is an Advanced Performance Analyst with Entuitive and has been engaged in the thermodynamic simulation of buildings for over 15 years. Since migrating to the world of sustainable design, he has applied his talents to improving the energy efficiency of our built environment. Tristan excels at breaking down complex problems into digestible pieces; parsing the nuanced details of a building’s systems while keeping an eye on the big picture. He has contributed to the design of some of Canada’s highest performing projects including the country’s only Certified Living Building. Tristan is a licensed Engineer in the Province of Ontario and is certified by ASHRAE as a Building Energy Modeling Professional (BEMP). He has also qualified as a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) giving him a comprehensive understanding of not just high-performance building design, but also operation.
