Miguel Martinez Peñas is an Electrical Engineer (MSc) and Executive MBA with more than 20 years of experience in the energy sector, power systems, transmission and distribution networks, substations, power transformers, and renewable energy infrastructures and has held technical and leadership positions at ABB, Endesa Ingenieria, Abengoa, Prodiel, and EDP Renewables. He currently serves as Engineering Lead Expert within the Electrical & Control team of the Global Technology & Engineering Department at EDP Renewables, working across international renewable energy markets.

Johan has over 28 years of experience serving the power and distribution industry with dielectrical fluids and services. He has visited more 150 transformer factories and followed international production trends and demands for almost three decades. He has headed four transformer oil laboratories and developed maintenance and forensic investigation solution for transformer asset managers. Johan holds a MSc. in chemical engineering and an MBA with innovation as major. He is a member of IEC and Cigre.

Miguel Martinez Peñas
Engineering Lead Expert – Electrical & Control, Global Technology & Engineering EDPR
KEYNOTE SPEAKER
His role involves close collaboration with engineering, execution, operations, procurement, and technology teams to ensure successful grid integration of renewable energy projects worldwide. His professional background combines experience from multiple perspectives of the electrical industry. He has first-hand experience in transformer design, manufacturing, testing, and commissioning, and has expanded his expertise to substation engineering, transmission and distribution systems, grid connection solutions, equipment qualification, supplier assessments, technical standardization, and renewable energy integration.
David Jiménez de la Plata Pedrosa
Regional Operations Manager TJH2b
David graduated in chemical engineering from the University of Granada (Spain). He specializes in the analysis of insulating fluids for the electrical industry. He oversees laboratories in Spain, Norway and Peru. He specializes in the implementation and assurance of management systems based on ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 17025, HACCP, and BRC standards, and in the interpretation and diagnosis of insulating fluids from transformers. He has given numerous seminars on transformer oils and is co-author of technical papers.

Christopher is a Technical Application Engineer for UK, Europe and Sub- Saharan Africa (SSA) in GE Vernova. He is from Belfast Northern Ireland and has 19 years in the industry working for Kelman and GE Vernova. He studied electrical & electronic engineering.
