Meet Cyndi
Events Chair
“My kids inspire me to learn and be a better person because they're our future.”
What gives you cause for optimism?
The innocence of children, the grit of our youth and the legacy of ancestors who fought unimaginable battles setting examples so many of us can now lean into for strength and inspiration.
At Extreme Reach
As Director of Client Relations in New York, Courtney works with ER’s Talent clients coast to coast to identify needs, create opportunities and provide solutions to help improve business performance including training support and implementation of our AdBridge platform.
Courtney Allen
Chair, ER DEI Committee
“It was important to get involved with the DE&I Committee however I could be most useful. I woke up one morning with a memo on my heart prompting me to raise my hand for an officer role. I’m very grateful to the team members who entrusted this role to me and am deeply inspired by everyone’s passionate participation."
Meet Stephanie
Administrator
“I pursued a role on the DEI committee to initiate change and support it at ER.”
What gives you cause for optimism?
Hope and the potential for change are the foundation of my optimism. My great-grandparents in South Carolina were an interracial couple. Visiting them was a different experience for me as a young girl and it left a lasting impression. My White great-grandfather seemed to be respected, while my Black great-grandmother was not. She was forced to stay quiet and I found that really upsetting. I'm proud that the generations that came after my great-grandmother have become a loud, expressive voice of hope and perseverance that she did not have.
At Extreme Reach
Since 2014 Steph has been Office Manager of ER’s New York location, which basically means she knows everyone and wears many hats. She likes to think of herself as the Mama Bear of ER facilities, and no one would argue with that!
“My mom kept a scrapbook of all the racial issues that occurred when she was growing up. We look through it together regularly, to remember and recognize the positive change that has happened since then.”
Stephanie Scott
Administrator, ER DEI Committee
Where do you get your passion?
My passion comes from my parents who taught me to accept people for who they are on the inside rather than what they look like on the outside.
At Extreme Reach
Cyndi is a Team Lead working to support, educate and guide payroll coordinators and clients for ER’s Payroll Solutions team.
“Everyone has a story. Everyone has something they can teach us. It's up to us to learn and grow. "Be the change you wish to see in the world." — Mahatma Gandhi
Cyndi Rivera
Event Chair, ER DEI Committee
What gives you cause for optimism?
An unprecedented amount of kind and just people are participating in efforts for change. Millions of young people are getting involved. As they grow, I have faith that they will change the tide with them. It's an exciting time.
At Extreme Reach
Kris is a west coast-based Vice President of Sales who works with clients across all verticals. She joined Extreme Reach in 2009, as team member #16.
“Being of mixed race and a woman of color, issues of racial injustice have always hit very close to home for me. After the murder of George Floyd I knew that our Black team members would be hurting and in need of additional support at that time. To play an active role in sustained efforts to help elevate and prioritize Extreme Reach's commitment to issues of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for all of our minority team members was a no brainer.”
