Passing this exam shows independence in performing day-to-day operations and basic troubleshooting of TMOS-based devices in various application environments after it has been installed, configured, and implemented. This is the second and final exam required to be certified as an F5 Certified! Technical Professional in Sales. Passing this exam means completion of the Technical Professional Certification track. Candidates who pass the 202 Pre-Sales Fundamentals exam have demonstrated that they possess the skills and understanding to sell F5 products to a technical audience, while also displaying the ability to align F5 solution recommendations to client needs on a case-by-case basis, and in a manner that is sensitive to the specific requirements of a potential clients’ applications.

BIG-IP LTM Specialist: Maintain and Troubleshoot
Prerequisites: Valid F5-CA, BIG-IP Certification, valid passing score on Exam 301a
This is the second exam candidates are required to pass in order to receive the F5 Certified! Technology Specialist, BIG-IP LTM certification. Passing this exam validates their ability to design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced F5 product features to enhance the effectiveness of an Application Delivery Network. In addition, it shows that a candidate understands underlying principles—from SSL-based VPN implementation to symmetric and asymmetric acceleration—and can draw on that insight to integrate BIG-IP LTM into existing networks as well as new implementations. Receiving the F5-CTS, BIG-IP LTM certification is a prerequisite for both the Cloud and Security Solutions Expert certification tracks.

BIG-IP LTM Specialist: Architect, Set up, Deploy

This is the first of two exams in the F5 Certified! Technology Specialist, BIG-IP LTM certification and serves as a prerequisite to exam 301b. EXAM 302

Candidates that pass Exam 302 will receive the F5 Certified! Technology Specialist, BIG-IP DNS certification. People with this certification have the fundamental knowledge necessary to application delivery architects and application delivery engineers working with BIG-IP DNS, including the ability to understand the basic operation of the DNS protocol, deploy and test configurations, and troubleshoot and remedy common misconfigurations. These individuals also are able to explain the capabilities of DNS services to deploy applications globally. Receiving the F5-CTS, BIG-IP DNS certification is a prerequisite for the Cloud Solutions Expert certification tracks.

Solution Expert Tracks
The F5 Certified! Solutions Expert (F5-CSE) designation is applied to individuals qualified to architect large-scale solutions, engaging in multiple job functions with sufficient levels of knowledge across a range of products and solutions focusing on the integration of multiple components into optimal solutions. An F5-CSE demonstrates the competence to architect, design, and troubleshoot complex solutions incorporating both F5 and non-F5 products to achieve business and technical requirements. The F5-CSE certification is available with specializations for Security and Cloud. The Certified Solution Expert is the highest level of certification currently offered via the F5 Certification Program. Candidates pursuing this level of certification can choose between two tracks—Cloud and Security.
