BOB GIBSON
Gibson made 10 Opening Day starts for the St. Louis Cardinals, the most in franchise history, where he recorded a 3.53 ERA and 61 strikeouts in 71.1 innings pitched.
YOGI BERRA
Yogi Berra hit five Opening Day home runs (including a record-tying four straight from 1955-58), drove in 21 RBI and posted a 1.000+ OPS in 11 of his 19 Opening Day games.
DMITRI YOUNG
Young had eight Opening Day games with an OPS of 1.000 or higher, five multi-hit games, and five Opening Day home runs, including a 3-homer, 5-RBI performance on April 4, 2005.
JEFF KENT
One of the greatest offensive second baseman of all time, Kent is tied for the highest career batting average Opening Day and racked up five career dingers.
JIM PRESLEY
Presley makes the list for a single incredible Opening Day in 1986 — 4-of-5, a two-run homer to tie force extra innings in the bottom of the 9th, followed by a walk-off Grand Slam in the 10th.
TROY TULOWITZKI
Tulo belted four home runs to begin the season in his career, the most of any shortstop on Opening Day in MLB history, including a 3-for-5 with two doubles, an RBI and three runs scored in 2005.
TED WILLIAMS
In 14 career Opening Day games, Williams slashed .449/.550/.816/1.336, which is just patently absurd in its own right. He also added three home runs and 14 RBI over that span as well.
KEN GRIFFEY JR.
Griffey is tied for the most career home runs on Opening Day with eight in his illustrious career. He did so across seven different games and only failed to reach base three times in 22 season-openers.
BARRY BONDS
His Opening Day accolades are certainly good, hitting six home runs to open the season in his career, including a three-hit, two-homer game in 2002. Also, he's Barry Freaking Bonds.
