2023 FIS GIVING BACK REPORT

Introduction
What does it mean to be a responsible corporate citizen in a world that needs so much?
At FIS, that’s a question that goes to the heart of our core values as a company.
We know it’s not enough to provide the financial technology solutions to power every business in the world. We need to be actively engaged in addressing critical needs in the communities where we live and work. Those needs are many and growing: financial illiteracy, the many problems stemming from poverty and income inequality, economic dislocation from wars and geopolitical conflicts, disease and natural disasters, to name a few.
FIS is committed to using our resources in a balanced, responsible way to help make the world a better place. As part of our core value of Be the Change, we support a range of philanthropic and community projects driven from the corporate, local office and grassroots employee level. In 2023, this included food and school supply drives, charitable walks and events, disaster aid, fundraising for cancer research, financial literacy and education, and professional mentoring programs.
We believe that being the change requires more than our financial resources. In 2023, our employees utilized tens of thousands of hours in company-provided volunteer time to actively participate in giving back programs in their communities. This is on top of the countless hours of philanthropic work done on their own time outside of work.
The 2023 FIS Giving Back Report highlights the many ways that FIS and our employees are devoting our time, talents and resources toward building a more inclusive, diverse, sustainable society. This report is a valuable companion piece to our annual Global Sustainability Report, which highlights our ongoing efforts to protect our planet and advance sustainability through our comprehensive environmental, social and governance (ESG) program.
The world will never be a perfect place. But by working together, we firmly believe we can make a difference, one community at a time. FIS is committed to doing our part.

CHAMPIONING FINANCIAL INCLUSION AROUND THE GLOBE
At FIS, we’re more than just a fintech company; we’re pioneers at the forefront of championing financial inclusion worldwide. Our giving back mission is clear: to lift the underserved in our communities, equipping them with the tools, knowledge and opportunities to thrive financially. It’s not just about providing services; it’s about fostering a brighter, more inclusive future for everyone, regardless of their economic background.
FINANCIAL LITERACY: THE CORNERSTONE OF EMPOWERMENT
At the heart of achieving one's personal and business aspirations lies an essential skill set – understanding how money works. This knowledge is not just a tool; it's a vehicle for empowering individuals, especially our youth, to envision and build a brighter, more secure future.
FIS’ commitment to financial literacy is activated through Junior Achievement to help systematically reengineer education and expand economic mobility and opportunity for all students. FIS supported programs in Jacksonville, Washington D.C., Milwaukee, Miami and Cleveland.
FIS colleagues in Jacksonville delivered curriculum to KIPP high school students and mentored students in the Stock Market Challenge. The volunteers provided access to the tools, people and experiences the students needed to be prepared for real life in the real world. We empowered students with the skills, mindset and connections to unlock greater opportunities to build thriving communities.
In Washington D.C., our financial support helped over 150 students experience JA Finance Park, 3DE or JA’s entrepreneurship program. Finance Park is an innovation in experiential education designed to prepare the region’s youth for life and work in the real world. Before experiencing JA's one-of-a-kind, state-of-the-art Finance Park facility, middle school students first complete four weeks of in-classroom curriculum taught by their teacher. At the end of their classroom curriculum, students travel to JA Finance Park where they practice newly learned microeconomic concepts and experience firsthand the complexities of personal financial management as an earning, bill-paying adult for the day.
FIS also partners with several charities throughout India, with programs aligned to our goals for skill development, employment equality and digital and financial literacy.
At FIS’ headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida, colleagues launched the first mentoring session through Big Brothers & Big Sisters Beyond School Walls program. The program brought students from KIPP Bold City High School on campus to learn more about the corporate world, shadow various careers and connect with their mentor. Partnerships like these enrich the students’ education and preparation by providing meaningful and relevant workplace experiences.
CAREER DEVELOPMENT: BEYOND JUST A JOB
We’re firm believers in the power of job training as a vehicle for economic elevation. By providing individuals with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the job market, we’re opening doors to careers that were once thought to be out of reach. It’s about creating pathways to sustainable livelihoods, where individuals aren’t just surviving; they’re thriving.
FIS has established partnerships with The Prince’s Trust in the U.K. The partnership gives us a great opportunity to give back to young people, regardless their background, in their own local community and empower them with the tools they need to thrive and secure a fulfilling and sustainable job. In addition to the financial support from FIS, FIS colleagues have volunteered to raise awareness and funds (over £17,000) through multiple initiatives, including Palace to Palace, World of Work Program and the U.K. Three Peaks Challenge.
ACCESS TO SHELTER: A BASIC RIGHT
A stable home environment forms the bedrock on which individuals can build a future. Partnering with organizations like Habitat for Humanity, we’ve set our sights on making access to shelter a reality for the many who have been left behind. By building homes, we’re doing more than just laying down bricks; we’re laying down hopes, dreams and the promise of a brighter tomorrow.
CHRISTEL HOUSE
BANGALORE
Diverse teams bring a range of perspectives that are crucial for creative problem-solving and innovation. This diversity of thought leads to more effective decision-making and stronger, more inclusive products and solutions. Yet, despite the clear advantages, the path toward diversity in tech has been slow and fraught with hurdles. FIS has a clear focus on building STEM diversity and opportunities in the tech workforce.
AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION – STEAM GOES RED
The American Heart Association is working to engage more women in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) through STEAM Goes Red, which provides young women the chance to learn more about exciting STEAM career opportunities, find inspiration in the women executives paving the way, and network with career mentors who are passionate about guiding tomorrow’s leaders. The day-long event took place at FIS headquarters in downtown Jacksonville and gave student attendees an incredible opportunity to immerse themselves in STEAM. The STEAM Goes Red cohort gained firsthand experience, connected with inspiring professionals, learned about jobs they never knew they could have and walked away feeling like a whole new world of STEAM had been revealed – a world in which they can truly love their career and make a tremendous impact. More opportunities today mean more bright minds tackling the complex issues of tomorrow – in technology and beyond.
KIPP BOLD CITY HIGH SCHOOL – CYBERSECURITY CLASSROOM
KIPP Bold City High School unveiled a cutting-edge Cybersecurity Room made possible through a collaborative effort with leading organizations: FIS, The Jim and Tabitha Furyk Foundation and the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp. The partnership between these organizations reflects a shared commitment to providing the students of Jacksonville with the resources and support they need to excel. The Cybersecurity Room boasts state-of-the-art technology, featuring over 25 seats and dedicated breakout rooms, designed to empower students with the knowledge and skills necessary for success in the rapidly evolving field of cybersecurity. The high-tech classroom also enhances the environment for students to complete a two-year cybersecurity curriculum. This program results in students earning a certification that can open doors to potential opportunities, including career possibilities at FIS.
EDUCATion
At FIS, we've witnessed firsthand how corporate support for educational initiatives can truly transform lives and, by extension, the future of work. Through our Adopt a School programs, donations for school supplies and partnering to develop comprehensive educational programs, we've equipped young minds with the tools for success, seeing a ripple effect that has the potential to uplift entire neighborhoods.

In addition to launching our first mentoring cohort with 23 Big Brothers and Big Sisters, FIS, along with Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp and Furyk Foundation, successfully opened a state-of-the-art Cybersecurity Classroom for students. Additionally, we continued to support back-to-school kits, career fairs, exam support packs and Junior Achievement programs.

GIVING BACK – FEEDING THE WORLD 2.0

LEUKEMIA AND LYMPHOMA (LLS)
FIS has partnered with LLS for 12 years, and in that time and through multiple campaigns, close to $3.5 million has been raised for blood cancer research. In Cincinnati alone, FIS colleagues raised over $17,500 for LLS and had a team of 35 registered walkers for the Light the Night Walk.
Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN)
Team FIS participated in its first PurpleStride in 2017. With support from FIS St. Pete campus employees and FIS colleagues around the country, to date, Team FIS has raised over $35,000 to fight pancreatic cancer. In support of PanCAN, employees participate in an annual walk, work as event day volunteers, help with campus fundraisers and donate to the team.
The DONNA
FIS colleagues not only participated in the run, but they volunteered their time to help at the DONNA Marathon Weekend in Jacksonville Beach. Runners raised over $35,000 to support women as they battle breast cancer, helping make financial and family decisions easier for those going through this battle. The funds raised and the hours volunteered demonstrate Team FIS’ commitment to fulfill the mission to help end breast cancer and support those battling it on their journey.
NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY CELEBRATION WITH SEVA SAHAYOG
As part of our partnership with Sahayog, FIS colleagues joined the NGO in Pune to celebrate National Science Day with local 5th and 6th grade female students. Volunteers helped teach about the solar system and static electricity, plus they helped lead sessions on personality development, soft skills and using the digital library sponsored by FIS.
Each of us holds a piece of the puzzle to safeguarding the future of our environment. Actions we take in our neighborhoods have the power to ripple across the globe. FIS fosters volunteerism as a path to planetary protection. When we come together as a community, our efforts are amplified beyond borders.
Environment
Health and human services
The actions taken by FIS colleagues are small steps toward a larger goal of universal well-being. These stories of compassion, hope and kindness each contribute to a stronger, healthier society. Our impact is measured by the lives we touch, and here are some exemplary ways our colleagues have made a difference.
HELPAGE INDIA
