"Whether because of poverty, financial illiteracy, lack of Internet access or dislocation from wars and geopolitical conflicts, millions of people are locked out of the digital economy. As one of the leading fintech providers in the world, FIS is committed to unlocking the full potential of advanced technology not only for our clients, but for the communities where we live and work. This same commitment extends to our giving back initiatives.
Underpinned by our core value of “Be the Change,” we support a range of philanthropic and community initiatives primarily aimed at increasing financial literacy and building the next generation of scientists, technologists, engineers and mathematicians who will plot the future course of financial technology. We also rally to actively support local initiatives linked to worldwide problems such as cancer research, food insecurity and tools in schools.
In 2024 our colleagues logged tens of thousands of volunteer hours to actively give back to their local communities. Plus, corporate and employee contributions enabled us to contribute more than $4 million to support charities worldwide, including a significant corporate donation to the American Red Cross to support those impacted by a very active and extremely destructive hurricane season. The 2024 FIS Giving Back Report highlights the many ways that FIS and its colleagues are devoting our time, talents and resources to improve peoples’ lives today and create a brighter future.
This annual publication compliments our Global Sustainability Report, which highlights our efforts to protect our planet and advance sustainability through our comprehensive environment, social and governance (ESG) program. Making the world a better place for all its citizens requires meaningful action. FIS is committed to doing our part."

During the summer, FIS hosted a global Tools for Schools campaign to support education through supply drives, fundraisers and volunteer activities.
Local teams organized school supply collections, and volunteers packed and delivered backpacks to schools. Colleagues were encouraged to use their eight paid volunteer hours to participate. For remote colleagues, options included organizing local events or donating through school wish lists.
Tools for Schools reflects our commitment to education, community support and advancing financial literacy. When education is within reach, it paves the way for lasting financial opportunity.
A United Nations study found that
420 million people could escape poverty if they completed secondary schooling.

Our Dare to Believe in Better Communities campaign inspired remarkable change through donations and volunteer efforts. FIS provides colleagues eight hours of paid volunteer time, with each hour logged during this campaign resulting in a $1 donation to the American Red Cross International Services.
U.S. colleagues enthusiastically participated in the 2024 Dare to Believe in Better Communities - United Way campaign. Their generosity, coupled with FIS’ corporate contributions, raised over $250,000 to drive positive change in their communities.
Donations to United Way increased by 100% year over year, and pledges grew by over 110% since 2023, showcasing our collective effort to support those in need.

"When I teach in the classroom, I see the ‘lightbulbs’ turning on for every student. It's all about being patient and explaining different real-life scenarios until the students fully grasp the concepts. The main attraction is the live Stock Market event at the JAGS stadium. The energy and excitement are unmatched."

Clients
We supported our clients in growing their businesses and better serving their customers. FIS also looked beyond to help those customers thrive when faced with challenging circumstances.
FIS’ purpose is to advance the digital transformation of our financial economy. Guided by our purpose and core values, we focus on the 3Cs to help unlock the potential of our local communities.
Our core values shape how we work together to deliver our purpose: Win as One Team, Lead with Integrity and Be the Change. "Be the Change" reflects our commitment to give back to the communities where we live and work. Through our giving back initiatives, we aim to make a positive impact globally.
A consistent focus on our 3Cs
Communities
Our united workforce, a mosaic of unique individuals, collaborated across multiple business units and communities, amplifying their impact and driving life-changing transformations.
Colleagues
Thousands of FIS colleagues devoted their time, talents, and resources to foster harmony in their communities. Their collective support resulted in immeasurable positive change.
Mentorship significantly boosts socioeconomic outcomes. A study by Harvard and the U.S. Department of the treasury found that mentored youth experience a 20% boost in earnings between ages 20 and 25. Additionally, mentored students are 10% more likely to attend college, setting the stage for long-term financial stability
Impacting lives: Empowering students with the knowledge to succeed
Our partnership with Junior Achievement of North Florida empowers the next generation with tools and knowledge to succeed. Together, we help students build strong financial skills, promoting financial literacy. This partnership also supports our colleagues by providing volunteer opportunities that enhance leadership, communication and mentoring skills.
FIS volunteers introduced the Junior Achievement High School Heroes program at KIPP Bold City High School in the spring, and the JA Take Stock in Your Future program in the fall, providing students with essential lessons in financial literacy and career readiness.
Understanding how money works is fundamental, empowering these students to make informed decisions, manage finances and envision a future where financial challenges don't impede their aspirations. By instilling these skills, the program helps lift young individuals out of poverty and set them on a path to sustainable success.
We believe financial technology has the power to transform lives. Our mission goes beyond innovation—we champion access to the financial ecosystem, breaking the cycle of poverty, and paving the way for a more equitable future. Through strategic partnerships and meaningful investments, we are strengthening communities, fostering resilience, and creating opportunities that empower individuals to thrive.
Transforming Lives: Mentoring to Ignite the Power and Promise of Youth
Colleagues at our Jacksonville headquarters entered their second year of mentoring through the Big Brothers Big Sisters Beyond School Walls program. This initiative brings students from KIPP Bold City High School to our campus, allowing them to experience the corporate world, shadow various careers, and build meaningful connections.
In 2025, mentors and mentees will celebrate the graduation of the program’s first cohort. In the initial year, 100% of the students were promoted to the next grade and maintained or improved their classroom behavior. Many participants come from underserved backgrounds, and through this program, they've gained workplace experiences that might have been out of reach.
This partnership is creating lasting change—equipping students with financial knowledge while strengthening the connection between corporate and nonprofit efforts to build a brighter future.

Rebuilding lives: Financial support in times of crisis
When disaster strikes, recovery can be overwhelming, especially for vulnerable communities.
After Hurricanes Helene and Milton devastated parts of the southerneast U.S., FIS donated $350,000 to the American Red Cross, aiding in shelter, meals and vital resources for those affected.
We are not just responding to crises—we are fostering resilience, opportunity and a world where everyone has the chance to thrive.
The National Alliance of Homelessness reports that nearly 40% of Americans are one paycheck away from homelessness. A job loss, medical emergency or natural disaster can quickly escalate without a safety net.
