This partnership honors the legacy of a beloved member of the Magic: The Gathering community. The initiative raised $2.1 million, the largest fan-driven donation in the game developer’s history. This special collection honors the legacy of Sheldon Menery, a beloved member who passed away from cancer and had been celebrated for fostering inclusivity and connection within the Magic community. This gift helps support cancer prevention, early detection and survivorship.
The American Cancer Society and Sleep Number have partnered to advance cancer care through sleep-focused innovation and direct patient support. One project is a six-year initiative to inform the first-ever sleep guidelines for cancer, exploring the link between quality sleep, cancer prevention and recovery. In another effort, ACS Hope Lodge communities will be furnished with Sleep Number Smart Beds to enhance sleep experiences for patients and caregivers. Sleep Number is also an official partner of the NFL’s Crucial Catch program with ACS, which promotes cancer prevention and wellbeing.
ACS and Regeneron share a common goal to advance health literacy and reach broader audiences. Their partnership has allowed ACS to produce and feature important educational content, particularly in the skin and lung cancer space.
ACS and Pfizer have joined together to “Change the Odds” through an initiative designed to bridge the gap in cancer care disparities. This work aims to improve health outcomes in underserved communities across the United States by enhancing awareness of and access to cancer screenings, clinical trial opportunities, patient support and comprehensive navigation.
For 16 years, Stop & Shop has been a proud partner of ACS, with employees and customers collectively raising more than $9 million in the fight against breast cancer, including more than $1.2 million raised in 2024 alone, through an annual point-of-sale campaign. More than 350 stores in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut participated.
ACS received a $1 million strategic grant from the Otto Bremer Trust to fund lodging and transportation support programs across Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota and Wisconsin. The grant also provided funding for Hope Lodge communities in Minneapolis and Rochester, New York.
The American Cancer Society teams up year-round with the NFL to promote Crucial Catch, a cancer awareness and early detection initiative that educates football fans about the importance of early detection and risk reduction and empowers them to get screened. The NFL has raised more than $32 million through sales of Crucial Catch-branded merchandise, NFL auctions and general fundraising. This funding supports ACS CHANGE grants, which help increase access to low- or no-cost cancer screenings in under-resourced communities.
ACS’s collaboration with Merck emphasizes the importance of early cancer detection and recommended cancer screenings, particularly among medically underserved populations. For example, Merck’s support of ACS’s Get Screened initiative focuses on increasing access to lung cancer screening in communities with historical inequities.
ACS and Janus Henderson Investors have partnered on a three-year, $3 million initiative to support the fight against cancer. Through this innovative collaboration, Janus Henderson Investors will donate half of its management fees from all assets under management in the Janus Henderson Government Money Market Fund. As the fund grows, so will its impact on the ACS mission.
Around the NFL, American Cancer Society Ambassadors like Las Vegas Raiders running back Alexander Mattison teamed up with NFL Crucial Catch to raise awareness about the importance
of early cancer detection.
Josh Paschel, cancer survivor and Detroit Lions defensive end, joined breast cancer survivors for art therapy at Henry Ford Health, an ACS Links to Care site funded by NFL Crucial Catch.
ACS and Johnson & Johnson continue to strengthen their joint commitment to advance health through the National Lung Cancer Roundtable and the National Prostate Cancer Roundtable. These initiatives focus on overcoming barriers to access to accelerate implementation, uptake and adherence of cancer screening.
ACS and Gilead are improving breast cancer outcomes by working together to increase access to high-quality treatment, shared decision-making support and oncology navigation.
ACS and Genentech are improving patient outcomes through innovative and sustainable programs supporting cancer prevention, screening and high quality care. By working together, both organizations are advancing accessible patient navigation, clinical trials, biomarker testing and policy solutions for everyone.
For 14 years, Chevrolet has been the automotive sponsor of the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer® program, raising more than $22 million through the efforts of Chevrolet staff, dealers and their local marketing associations. Chevrolet has also provided a fleet of EVs to help transport ACS Hope Lodge® guests to and from treatment.
Chevrolet has supported Making Strides Against Breast Cancer as its automotive sponsor since 2011.
ACS and CalOptima Health are working together to advance equitable outcomes across the cancer continuum—from screening to diagnosis, treatment and survivorship. The goal of this partnership is to increase awareness about cancer screening and promote screening services that are available in Orange County, California.
ACS and Dolphins Cancer Challenge have made an $8 million commitment to study health disparities among South Florida’s Hispanic and Caribbean populations. Based at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Institute in Miami, this initiative will develop new approaches and partnerships to mitigate societal risk factors, promote health equity and ultimately reduce cancer mortality.
ACS and AstraZeneca share a longstanding commitment to improving cancer care and health outcomes through support for trained cancer navigators and providing patients with access to cancer treatment centers through investments in ACS Hope Lodges.
