Glenfiddich’s inaugural #Richest25 list spotlights individuals across the country reimagining what it means to live a rich life. Here’s a look at three featured list makers who are proof that wealth comes in many forms.
George M. Johnson finds richness in allowing the mind, body and soul to prosper. An authentic storyteller who fearlessly shares themself with the world, Johnson directly impacts their communities with a valuable sense of being seen and heard.
Community is their heart’s home, and it’s why Johnson continues to do the work they do daily in an effort to liberate the underserved from societal oppressions and offer healing.
Their writings on race, gender, politics and health, their LGBTQ+ activism and their strength of spirit all center Johnson as a pillar of the Black community and queer community—and, specifically, the Black queer community.

hat does “success” mean to you? If you’re like many Americans, there’s a disconnect between how you measure a successful professional life—and how you think society does.
That’s the landmark finding in a new study from Glenfiddich Single Malt Scotch Whisky, conducted in collaboration with If-Then Digital: “Professional Success in America: Personal Priorities and Social Misunderstanding.” While most of the 2,000 Americans surveyed privately believe success is best characterized by the richness of relationships, strong community ties and their well-being, they believe society’s markers of success primarily center around money and status.
