Owin Pierson is a photographer and digital nomad who curates beautiful images of his dynamic life and authentic story as a queer half-Japanese American. The 30-year-old became a Chase Sapphire Reserve cardmember this past year, and it’s quickly become his go-to card to create travel experiences and get rewards from everyday spending.
“I’ve always been a very logical, analytical person, but it’s something they don’t teach you in school—how to use credit cards to benefit you,” Pierson says. “I realized I can get all these points through the bills I already have.” He was able to use the Sapphire Reserve card with its $300 annual travel credit to help pay for a trip to Thailand and Bali earlier this year. “I use my card all the time, and budget my spending to make sure it’s never overboard.”
