Keiko Erikawa
73 | Executive chairman, Koei Tecmo | Japan
A self-made billionaire, Erikawa founded Koei Tecmo with her husband Yoichi and built it into one of Japan’s largest video-game developers over four decades. The company, which trades on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, has reported 11 straight years of record net profit, with earnings of $262 million on sales of $534 million for the fiscal year ended in March 2021.
Now in her 70s and showing no signs of slowing down, Erikawa became an outside director and the only woman on the board of investment company SoftBank Group in June 2021. She is no stranger to the investment world as she has been investing in tech stocks and managing Koei Tecmo’s $1.1 billion in assets.
