Research shows that companies who genuinely and consistently listen to their employees have higher levels of trust, and ensuring that the voices of underrepresented groups, including women, are heard is critical to building this trust. Leading software companies Adobe and Cadence, both recognized as great workplaces to work for women, are using employee feedback to create workplace environments where everyone’s voice is valued and women feel included and empowered.
“We have been laser-focused on making sure we are bringing out the voices of our employees, talking about what it’s like to be a woman in tech, how to channel an authentic voice in the workplace as a woman, and how to build inclusivity on a daily basis,” says Tina Jones, senior vice president of global human resources at Cadence.
“We believe everyone should feel respected and included so they can bring their full authentic selves to work, and we foster an environment where ideas and innovation can come from anywhere,” says Gloria Chen, chief people officer and executive vice president of employee experience at Adobe.
In the video above, listen to FORTUNE Brand Studio moderator Tracey Ferguson, Jones, and Chen discuss how fostering cultures of inclusivity and listening and amplifying women’s voices drive employee engagement and business growth.
