“Heartstrings is a family-owned business operated out of our home. We make custom wood products — including charcuterie boards, cutting boards and bath boards — using Lichtenberg designs, a process where we apply high voltage to the wood to create one-of-a-kind designs (akin to a lightning strike). We fill the shapes with epoxy resins to highlight the wood.”

"You are beautifully unique. You're different unlike anyone else. My intention is to capture your whimsical charm and personality in a way that is creatively unexpected — luminous photos that capture the real you, with no predictable or contrived portraits allowed! I believe in creating photos that showcase vibrant energy. My photos capture the magic of the moment, the wide-eyed wonder, the wiggles and giggles — authenticity is the key ingredient in my photo recipe."

“My shop, Rooted in Leca, is a little plant shop specializing in houseplants rooted in leca, a lightweight expanded clay aggregate. We pride ourselves on simple and artful growing. We have the goal of making plant care as easy as possible. My partner and I discovered the usefulness of leca after numerous failed attempts at keeping plants alive in soil alone. Now we can share our wisdom with others! I am a creative individual with a love for nature who found a way to combine my interests into a small business. My partner (Tim Henson, left) is a supportive soul with a passion for the environment. Without him, Rooted in Leca would not be possible.”

“My parents are Nigerian immigrants, and as a first generation Nigerian-American, I've always been very connected to my roots. I got the idea to start a business using Ankara fabric, a style of clothing that uses traditional African designs, while on a trip in Mozambique and later to an industrial hub in Nigeria. I initially started with Ankara handbags. I’ve now expanded into fashion accessories, such as jewelry and clothing.”

“I hand knit (without needles) blankets, scarves, stuffed animals and more using two types of super plush chunky yarn. I love to make things that are soft and cozy and that make folks smile. My favorite items to knit are "Pigs & Blankets" — please stop by to see those and other fluffy crafts. They make great gifts!”
“I make oyster shell decoupage art. You can use it as a ring/jewelry holder or as salt and pepper holders. They make perfect gifts for all occasions. I also make incredibly soft and cozy handmade chenille chunky knit blankets, which make perfect gifts and give a homey, decorative touch.”

"I mainly paint on glass. I also decorate mason jars, kitchen bottles and mugs. My latest piece is a floral pitcher with four matching cups. I started painting early in high school but dedicated more time early in the pandemic when the whole world shut down. I stumbled on a technique to paint glass online. Painting is an outlet for me and a passion in my heart!"

"My paintings are inspired by the nature around me. I've painted since I was a child, but I started painting more professionally about 10 years ago. Nature is my motivation. I love the perspective of life and my surroundings. Painting is a great outlet for me, as it relaxes and refreshes me. When I focus on my art, I forget all my worries and find inner peace."
"I sell porcelain miniatures and Damascene jewelry that I buy from Thailand and Toledo, Spain. Damascene jewelry is handcrafted jewelry engraved in metal with gold or silver foil. My mother introduced me to this kind of jewelry; it is very distinct and beautiful. It often features geometric shapes, flowers and doves."
"I sell eco-friendly succulent gardens potted in vintage ceramic and porcelain china pieces, as well as original greeting cards for many occasions."

"I got started selling clothes to make some extra money and quickly realized that I enjoyed it. I'm constantly going through my closet to purge things that no longer bring me joy, and I realized I had a lot of gently used clothes that others could enjoy. Buying gently used clothes is not only more affordable, but you extend a garment’s lifecycle and reduce textile waste that ends up in landfills."

Our goal is to create unique and fun affordable pieces that provide the perfect touch of elegance and creativity to any outfit. We truly believe that jewelry can speak volumes. “Hi, my name is Numrah! I’m also known as ‘Nums,’ for people who know me well. Growing up, I always loved baking for friends and family. Food really has become my love language, and I've had friends ask me to make cakes for their special occasions. I graduated from the University of Maryland in December 2019, and in January 2020, I decided to take my passions to the next level and start my baking business called ‘Nums Yums’ before starting at Freddie. Over the years, I've developed my skills and recipes more than I could have ever imagined. I infuse unique and cultural flavors in my decadent desserts. I now have a small team and found ways to give back through my business. I sell cakes, cupcakes, cookies, dessert cups and more. Find me at the market and try some of my cookies, cupcakes and macarons! I promise you — you'll thank yourself."
