The 2025 Ryder Cup delivered all the drama fans could handle as Europe claimed the trophy this year in a 15-13 defeat of the U.S. team. Spectators at Bethpage Black and at home had an experience like never before — thanks to innovation from T-Mobile.
At select major golf events like the Ryder Cup, fans can now follow their favorite golfers and experience every marquee moment on the course, all powered by Advanced Network Solutions from T-Mobile for Business. Whether on the course or at home, T-Mobile for Business is transforming the fan experience with enhanced coverage, real-time video updates, and new broadcast angles that redefine how fans experience the game.
On-site, wireless point-of-sale systems, and ticket scanning make major championships seamless and frictionless for both attendees and event organizers. And T-Mobile’s exclusive Club Magenta hosted more than 36,000 T-Mobile members and their guests at the Ryder Cup, PGA Championship, and KPMG Women’s PGA Championship over the past two years. Being a spectator has never been better.

Next Frontier in Fan Experience
T-Mobile’s presence in golf has elevated the fan experience on the ground and while at home. With its advanced 5G solutions, T-Mobile has already leveled up technology that’s revolutionizing how we enjoy the spectacle and the drama of professional golf. With its PGA of America partnership, T-Mobile is only getting started.

Across the entire sport of golf, T-Mobile for Business has been providing solutions to take broadcasts to the next level.
At Bethpage Black, T-Mobile’s private network supported unique coverage of the tournament’s biggest moments. A 5G private network gives broadcasters a high-speed, low-latency connection to enable the flexibility to capture more dynamic, behind-the-scenes views to bring the best of golf to fans at the Ryder Cup and beyond.
The iconic first-tee player walkouts at the Ryder Cup weren’t just electric moments in person. NBC’s coverage brought that same energy, capturing the excitement for fans everywhere. Powered by a dedicated 5G private network from T-Mobile, the broadcast streamed high-quality video from wireless cameras and drones, bringing the energy and cinema from the course straight into fans’ living rooms.
Even before the on-course coverage started, fans woke up early to T-Mobile Breakfast at Bethpage, an alternative pregame show broadcast live each morning and hosted by Saturday Night Live’s Colin Jost, a Staten Island native. The show, which utilized 5G-connected wireless cameras, was streamed on Peacock and Ryder Cup digital channels, offering an exclusive look inside the grandstands—from live fan interviews to helmet cam footage showing the action from their point of view. Watched by hundreds of thousands of people, T-Mobile Breakfast at Bethpage had the feel of a celebrity-studded viewing party, capturing fan energy like never before.
T-Mobile’s 5G network helped make purchasing beverages a snap and kept lines short, too. Advanced Network Solutions from T-Mobile for Business offers a dedicated POS network slice that ensures transactions go through quickly and smoothly. Thousands of fans also celebrated the event in Club Magenta, as live talent Q&As, athlete and celebrity meet-and-greets, swag, games, and refreshments all came together for a celebration fitting of the Ryder Cup.
First responders and essential operations staff also relied on 5G connectivity through T-Priority to make sure no emergency calls got dropped. T-Mobile for Business also deployed its new SuperMobile plan, giving PGA of America staff enterprise-grade security, virtual networks, and seamless coverage so they’d stay connected, even in Bethpage’s busiest grandstand.
T-Mobile was behind the scenes in other ways, too, using 5G to power an autonomous AI robot to keep things running smoothly at the driving range. And thanks to T-Mobile for Business Advanced Network Solutions, more than 20 photographers from the PGA of America, Getty, and more were able to upload their photographs in real time, wherever they were on the course, to get fans at home the content they crave quicker.
“The Ryder Cup is more than golf,” said Mo Katibeh, T-Mobile for Business Chief Marketing Officer. “It’s an electrifying cultural moment of passion, energy and celebrating the accomplishments of the best golfers in the game. And T-Mobile for Business is at the heart of connecting fans’ experiences on the course, ensuring the broadcast captures the competition like never before, while also driving innovation that helps our partners at the PGA of America create new operational efficiencies. T-Mobile for Business is all about driving outcomes and proving how technology can reshape the way we experience a major event like the Ryder Cup.”
T-Mobile is redefining what "premium experience" means to golf fans.
Its network is enabling spectators' shot-by-shot tracking through advanced cameras by KPMG CHAMPCAST. Each shot is recorded at centimeter-level precision and radar for a live look into the most granular—and game-changing—moments.
Digital-first content continues to expand with more event previews, live look-ins, exclusive athlete interviews, recaps, and weekly features in collaboration with the PGA of America. The PGA Championship and Ryder Cup apps also leverage T-Mobile's network to deliver new fan features. Real-time views of the grandstands help fans find great views, and a look-in at the concession stands helps fans avoid long lines. And for real excitement, T-Mobile's "Roar Moments" put fans where the action is with AI enabled push notifications to alert fans to the "don't-miss moments." It’s as close as a fan can get without getting inside the ropes.
Plus, the T5G Range is enabling T-Mobile and the PGA to deliver more live content, including instruction and insight from some of golf’s top coaching pros while players prepare for the biggest tests in golf.
T-Mobile is also laser focused on investing in the women’s game. Fans are getting even closer to these golf stars with enhanced coverage and shot-by-shot tracking, real-time scoring data, and live broadcast views. At this year’s KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, T-Mobile for Business partnered with KPMG to bring CHAMPCAST, the same data collection platform used week-in, week-out on the PGA TOUR. That experience delivered an interactive view of the course on mobile and desktop for all spectators. Beyond CHAMPCAST, T-Mobile supported the expansion of “Featured Groups” coverage at the event, expanding live coverage and ensuring fans could catch entire rounds from marquee players.
