FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies selected the capital investment project previously announced for the Billingham, UK, site for the first application of the KojoX operational model in the single-use network to meet customers’ demands. This flexible single-use cell culture facility is scheduled to be operational in 2026.

The harmonized processes and procedures enable seamless tech transfer for clinical and commercial scales between our single-use facilities as well as to our high-capacity network.

Standard process modules provide consistent procedures for tech transfers, facilitating the creation of client-specific recipes improving speed and efficiencies. KojoX combines the advantages of the required technologies, standardized procedures, and the support of our skilled team of experts to ensure unprecedented delivery of high-quality, life-impacting medicines.

This modular approach, applied across our network, is expected to improve time-to-market, supply resilience, and geographic diversity of supply – aiming to provide fast access to localized manufacturing capacity.

This flexible, modular design provides adaptability to scale out and scale up for rapidly changing market demands.

Applying this philosophy, the facility can be capably equipped with modules of 2,000 L and 5,000 L single-use bioreactors for Mammalian cell culture to be operational in April 2026.

The KojoX framework of standardized tech transfer processes is expected to enable faster time to manufacture for our customers.
