The new Habiscape tent from MSR is for adventurous families—spacious without the bulk.

Even though MSR touts the tent for the front country, this shelter packs down relatively small and weighs in at 12 pounds (4-person), making it a feasible option for short backpacking trips with small children.
The Habiscape is MSR’s second tent intended for the front-country family camping category. The tent has MSR’s heritage of being able to stand up to intense weather for families that don’t back down when the forecast is daunting.

The Pass-Thru Pocket is a brilliant solution to the age old problem of having to open the tent to get something small and simple. If it’s kept in the Pass-Thru pocket, it can be grabbed from within or outside of the tent.
Clever Pockets
Both the 4-person and the 6-person version have standing-height interiors at 73 and 77 inches respectively.
Spacious
With two doors, the tent body has no front or back and is completely symmetrical so it will never be facing the wrong direction once set up. Only the rain fly has a vestibule on one side to designate a “main” entrance.
