A Century of Hospitality
An Adults-Only Luxury Getaway at Castle Hot Springs, Arizona
Since first opening its doors in 1926, The Biltmore Hotel has been an icon of sophistication and luxury in South Florida. A National Historic Landmark, the 271-room Coral Gables resort has hosted world leaders, celebrities and discerning travelers alike. Known for its amenities for royals (literally)—including one of the largest pools in the country, a world-class, 100-year-old golf course and a decadent spa—a stay at the property immerses guests in a history and grandeur that feels worlds away from the buzz of Miami Beach, while only being 30 minutes away.

Who should you bring?
Between the sprawling pool, expansive golf course and multiple dining options, there’s something for everyone. Couples will find romance enjoying the grand architecture, private cabanas and dreamy dinners. For business travelers and corporate retreaters, the property has all the polish you’d expect with the charm of feeling decidedly outside the boardroom. As for families, just show the kids a photo of the pool, and they’ll do whatever you say.
What’s the food like?
First and foremost, the Sunday Brunch is probably one of the most lavish dining experiences before noon you’ve ever had. Featuring bottomless bubbly and a caviar bar, it’s decadence on a plate (or several). For us, the standout was dinner at Fontana, where Italian classics are served in a dreamy Mediterranean courtyard (psst: don’t miss the lobster pasta). For a more relaxed bite, Fairways offers a solid lineup of brunch and lunch staples like quesadillas, turkey clubs, and omelets. The in-room dining service, not surprisingly, matches the rest of the resort’s high expectations, but in the intimate settings of your own room.
Did you get a good night’s sleep?
The rooms exude traditional elegance, with blackout drapes and quiet surroundings that make it easy to unwind. The beds are outfitted with European bedding topped with 340-thread-count Egyptian cotton duvet covers. With all the comforts and attention to detail, you’ll wake up feeling refreshed and ready for another day.
What amenities are available?
whirlpools, in addition to a range of treatment options available). Gym buffs will enjoy the 24/7 fitness enter, as well as the many wellness activities on offer such as hiking along the bluff, cycling classes outside, meditation, beach yoga and more. Speaking of the beach, the Monarch Bay Beach Club is exclusively available to members and guests and has everything you need to surf the waves, paddle board, SUP and more. Or hey, if you’d just like to kick back on a beach chair with a glass of wine, then that’s cool too.
The resort is packed with top-notch luxury amenities you won’t find elsewhere. For golfers, reserving a tee time at the renowned Donald Ross 18-hole, par-71 championship golf course is a must. There's also the enormous pool (one of the largest hotel pools in the U.S.) with private cabanas, an award-winning European spa, and a fully equipped fitness center. Tennis courts, on-site shopping boutiques, and several dining options mean everything is at your fingertips during your stay.
How was the service?
Service at The Biltmore is everything you’d expect from a luxury hotel with a storied history: attentive, professional and seamless. Staff members are quick to meet requests and make every effort to ensure guests feel pampered. Whether it’s arranging poolside refreshments, accommodating dining preferences, or providing local recommendations, the team goes above and beyond to make every stay feel personalized and memorable.
What was your favorite part?
The sheer elegance and historic charm of The Biltmore steal the show. From the moment you arrive and see the iconic tower rising above Coral Gables, you feel like you’ve stepped into another era. The grand architecture, the sprawling pool, and the lush courtyard of Fontana all contribute to an atmosphere that feels both glamorous and inviting.
Know before you go:
Coral Gables is about a 30-minute drive from Miami Beach, so be prepared for a quieter, more refined experience away from the bustling nightlife. The surrounding area is beautiful, with upscale restaurants, boutique shops and charming streets to explore. Make time to indulge in The Biltmore’s European spa—it’s worth it. And definitely don’t skip a swim in the massive, iconic pool; it’s an experience all its own.
