Southern Hospitality but Make It Luxe
We don’t ask for much when it comes to our home away from home—a comfy bed, convenient location and good food (oh, and a nice view sure doesn’t hurt). Four Seasons Austin ticks all the boxes, and then some. Situated in the heart of the city’s business center and overlooking glittering Lady Bird Lake, this luxury property features the usual top-notch service and amenities that the brand is known for, plus a recent renovation that has given the elegant property a stylish and modern upgrade.

Who should you bring?
Thanks to the recent renovation, rooms feel smart and spacious. This combined with the central downtown location makes Four Seasons Austin an obvious choice for business travelers and couples, but families can also take advantage of the large pool and outdoor area next door, complete with food and beverage trailers.
What’s the food like?
Have you even been to Texas if you haven’t devoured a steak? Ciclo steakhouse offers tasty cuts (the hickory smoked ribeye was the star of our meal), as well as lighter fare worth trying such as the sweet corn empanadas, scallop and shrimp ceviche and heirloom tomato salad with house-made burrata. There’s also Live Oak, the hotel’s lobby bar that’s got small bites (don’t sleep on the guacamole with BBQ brisket or the tuna nachos) and strong drinks.
Did you get a good night’s sleep?
Lush comforters and quiet, dark rooms meant we were able to catch up on quality zzz’s after busy days at SXSW.
What amenities are available?
There’s the standard fitness center, as well as a high-quality spa. But the best feature is the huge backyard with greenery and seating as well as the pool that’s all located right on the lake. It’s an idyllic spot for lunch meetings, people watching and just unwinding.
What was your favorite part?
The lunch meetings in the backyard, the top-notch service and excellent in-room breakfast.
Know before you go:
The airport is super close (approx. 20 minutes away), which makes getting to and from the hotel very convenient. And while there are a lot of great eats in Austin, we’d be remiss not to mention Hestia for a unique dining experience (the food is cooked over a live fire) and Terry Blacks for the local BBQ.
