Soft Light, Sharp Design:
An Adults-Only Luxury Getaway at Castle Hot Springs, Arizona
Step inside the Four Seasons Hotel Montréal and you’re met with soft light, marble floors and a hum that feels distinctly of the city. Located in the Golden Square Mile and connected directly to Holt Renfrew Ogilvy, the hotel blends high design with effortless comfort. Spaces by Gilles & Boissier and architect Philip Hazan are modern but warm, while local art and installations, including Pascale Girardin’s Contemplation, tie it all to Montréal’s creative pulse.

Who should you bring?
Four Seasons Montréal is perfect for couples seeking a refined city escape, travelers who appreciate top-tier design and service, or anyone visiting for culture, shopping or culinary experiences. Its location connects directly to Holt Renfrew Ogilvy and places you steps from high-end boutiques, galleries and the Golden Square Mile. The hotel feels sophisticated yet inviting, with a style that’s understated, modern and effortlessly polished.
What’s the food like?
Dining at the Four Seasons Montréal blends classic French influences with local flair. The lobby-level restaurant, Marcus, is a real treat. There aren’t many hotel restaurants that can hang with Marcus. They serve fresh, thoughtfully prepared dishes, while the cocktail lounge attracts a stylish evening crowd. You can have a great dinner in the restaurant or splurge on the Chef’s Counter for a real dining experience (well worth it!).
The menu, helmed by Executive Chef Jason Morris—recognized among Canada’s Top 10 Chefs—leans seafood-forward, with standouts like the black cod, octopus and Piccadilly lobster pasta, along with a signature Portobello dish for vegetarians. The cocktails are expertly mixed by Head Mixologist Jay Lawson, and the wine list curated by Chef Sommelier Alexandra Guay.
Breakfast offers everything from buttery pastries to elegantly plated favorites, all presented in a way that feels both elevated and approachable. Every bite reflects seasonal ingredients and attention to detail.
Did you get a good night’s sleep?
Absolutely. One of the most comfortable beds and rooms we have stayed in. Rooms are surprisingly quiet for downtown, with plush beds, soft linens and blackout curtains that block out city lights. The mattress strikes a perfect balance between support and softness, while temperature control is precise. Bathrooms are modern, stocked with luxe amenities and feature deep soaking tubs that make unwinding after a busy day effortless.
What amenities are available?
The hotel offers a sleek indoor pool, a full-service Guerlain Spa (the only Forbes Five-Star spa in Montréal) and a well-equipped fitness center designed by celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak. The spa’s treatments are as luxurious as they are sustainable, featuring Guerlain’s 80–99% naturally derived ingredients, plus amenities like a Kneipp hydrotherapy circuit, eucalyptus steam room and sauna.
How was the service?
Service is top notch—attentive, warm and professional. Staff anticipate needs without being intrusive, whether helping with restaurant recommendations, spa bookings or exploring the city. Check-in is smooth, and every team member we encountered was genuinely welcoming, making the hotel feel both luxurious and accessible
What was your favorite part?
Everything. Cream of the crop. The balance of elegance and city energy. The Four Seasons feels luxurious without being distant. Whether enjoying a drink in the vibey lounge, taking in panoramic city views from your room or stepping out to explore nearby streets, the hotel creates a sense of being at the heart of Montréal’s cultural rhythm.
Know before you go:
Make dining and spa reservations ahead of time, particularly on weekends. Marcus is a great spot for drinks in the evening—and it’s quite convenient to have a hotel lounge/bar that’s one of the most happening spots right in your hotel. Fall evenings can be cool, so pack layers if you plan to walk around the city. The hotel’s connection to Holt Renfrew and proximity to Sainte-Catherine Street makes it a convenient and stylish base for exploring Montréal. The property also celebrates inclusivity and community: it proudly supports the LGBTQIA2S+ community and works with local partners and charities throughout Montréal, reflecting its deep connection to the city it calls home.
