Your Remote Slice of Caribbean Heaven
An Adults-Only Luxury Getaway at Castle Hot Springs, Arizona
Imagine trading your daily grind for the warm embrace of a remote Caribbean island. That's exactly what you'll find at the Four Seasons Resort Nevis. This isn't just a hotel; it's an escape to a world where the ocean is stunningly blue, the pace is gloriously slow, and your biggest decision is which of the three pools to dip into first. Plopped onto this tiny island, once a significant hub in the sugar trade and the birthplace of Alexander Hamilton, a stay at the Four Seasons Resort Nevis delivers that quintessential feeling of being away from it all…and somewhere else entirely better.

Who should you bring?
Perfect for couples seeking romance, families craving quality time, or anyone in need of a serious dose of R&R, Nevis delivers that quintessential feeling of being away from it all…and somewhere else entirely better. Whether you're looking to rekindle romance with sunset strolls on pristine beaches, create lasting family memories with activities like tubing, snorkeling, and jet skiing, or simply unwind with a rejuvenating spa treatment and soak up the sun by one of the three pools, Nevis offers the perfect escape. You should note, however, that getting to this paradise does require a bit of a hop, skip and jump: fly into St. Kitts, take a quick 10-minute cab to the port and then a 10-minute boat trip to Nevis. That said, once you land on the island, the extra steps will feel well worth it.
What’s the food like?
I’ve had hit or miss food experiences in my past Caribbean vacations, but Nevis definitely delivers. Our culinary highlight was Mango, the resort’s restaurant with gorgeous waterfront views, live entertainment, and, of course, delicious food. We also spent a lot of time at On The Dune, the centrally located beach and pool restaurant. The lobster tacos? Chef's kiss. Other favorites included the ceviche, the Mahi Mahi Club sandwich, and even the classic cheeseburger. For sushi lovers, Kastaway Beach Bar, near the adult pool, is a must-try. Breakfast was at Esquilina, conveniently located in the lobby, and their omelette station was a personal favorite.
Did you get a good night’s sleep?
During our stay, we settled into a spacious 3-bedroom Pinney Beach Villa. The primary bedroom, located upstairs, offered a welcome retreat for some peace and quiet away from the kids. If you can, I'd highly recommend opting for a beachfront room. The direct access to the pool and ocean is a major perk, making those spontaneous dips in the Caribbean Sea even easier. And trust me, you'll want to be in that water as much as possible.
What amenities are available?
whirlpools, in addition to a range of treatment options available). Gym buffs will enjoy the 24/7 fitness enter, as well as the many wellness activities on offer such as hiking along the bluff, cycling classes outside, meditation, beach yoga and more. Speaking of the beach, the Monarch Bay Beach Club is exclusively available to members and guests and has everything you need to surf the waves, paddle board, SUP and more. Or hey, if you’d just like to kick back on a beach chair with a glass of wine, then that’s cool too.
Beyond the comfy beds, the resort boasts a wealth of amenities. The three pools cater to every mood: a brand-new infinity pool (which can get a bit crowded), a dedicated adult pool, and a "kids" pool that felt like our own private oasis. (Don't let the name fool you—this hidden gem was surprisingly uncrowded.)
Additionally, there's a great golf course, a well-equipped gym, and a spa where I had an amazing massage from Rose. The spa also features a cold plunge, steam room and hot outdoor pool.
And for those seeking adventure? We filled our days with tubing, snorkeling on a rented catamaran and jet skiing.
How was the service?
Four Seasons is synonymous with exceptional service, and Nevis is no exception.
What was your favorite part?
But beyond the impeccable service, my favorite part of the trip was the feeling of being truly remote. The island's beauty is undeniable. The ocean was warm and stunningly bright blue—which made you want to go in every day.
Know before you go:
WiFi can be a little spotty throughout the resort, but the rooms have great service. Request the most recently renovated rooms or splurge on a Pinneys Beach Villa—the access to the ocean and pool was absolutely worth it.

Two shimmering outdoor pools offer opportunities for relaxation and activity—one is a heated infinity pool with a view of Lake Garda while the other is a stand-alone pool kept at cooler temperatures to encourage laps and other exercise.
Yoga, meditation and breathwork sessions can all be add-ons. Outside of the hotel, you can take a hike or e-bike along the hills, go sailing on the lake or take an excursion on a Vespa or Fiat 500 down Torri del Benaco.
Top-notch: The service was beyond what you’d expect from a five-star hotel. From the around-the-clock concierge that can help you book those hard-to-get reservations and private tours to 24-hour laundry/drycleaning and in-room dining, the Four Seasons is known ‘round the world for their attention to detail. Expect twice-daily housekeeping, free water in-room and nightly turndown service (complete with slippers and a mat to wipe your feet placed next to the bed).

As for sleeping, Four Seasons beds are legendary for a reason: they're incredibly comfortable. After a day of sun-soaked adventures, sinking into that plush mattress is pure bliss.
