Who should you bring?

Whether you’re here for business meetings, a romantic “stay-cation” or even a long family weekend in the city, The Peninsula New York truly caters to all. Smack-dab between Rockefeller Center and Central Park, it’s a prime location for tourists looking to hit all the “must-see” experiences but just as easily serves as a home base for the well-trodden traveler who wants to immerse themselves in the city like a local.

What’s the food like?

First, there’s the Clement Restaurant, serving contemporary American cuisine with a focus on seasonal ingredients. There’s also the Gotham Lounge, a refined space for afternoon tea, light fare, or—who are we kidding?—divine cocktails. Hat tip to the live pianist who sets the mood. And then, there’s the PenTop Bar & Terrace. Once the Salon de Ning, this new rooftop iteration feels like a cool artist’s loft—if it were mingling with the other Midtown Manhattan skyscrapers. Along with breathtaking views of the skyline, you can nosh on craft cocktails and small bites. Last, but certainly not least, the Peninsula room service is exceptional. Our tester found themselves ordering the savory, soul-soothing wonton soup as a midday snack and devouring the unmatched breakfast room service, with eggs, greek yogurt, homemade granola and berries.

Did you get a good night’s sleep?

Without question, yes. The beds are sumptuous, and the blackout curtains combined with thoughtfully designed soundproofing create a cocoon of comfort. Deep, undisturbed sleep in the heart of Manhattan seems like an oxymoron, but here, tucked under a fluffy-as-a-cloud duvet cover and pillows that make your body feel zero gravity, it’s not. Our tester woke up feeling refreshed, as if she escaped the city entirely.

What amenities are available?

The Peninsula offers everything from an indulgent spa to indoor lap pool, perfect for unwinding. It’s very serene and clean, so it’s no wonder we saw several people take a book to read in the morning. Add in a state-of-the-art fitness center, beauty salon and multiple dining options, and it’s everything you need to relax, recharge, and pamper yourself without ever leaving the hotel.

How was the service?

The service is exceptional, setting the gold standard for luxury hospitality. Every staff member is attentive, professional and anticipates your needs, ensuring that your stay feels effortless from start to finish.

What was your favorite part?

The newly renovated rooms, with their blend of modern luxury and traditional charm, were a personal highlight. The intuitive technology makes controlling everything from lighting to room temperature a breeze, and the spa-like bathrooms, complete with a soaking tub and TV, elevate relaxation to another level.

Know before you go:

A stay here means you’re in the heart of Midtown, with shopping, dining and cultural landmarks truly just steps away. Be sure to book time at the spa, and don’t rush out in the morning—those beds deserve a little extra time to enjoy!
