A Family-Friendly Resort in the Bahamas
That Oozes Sophistication
Rosewood Baha Mar Review
Part of Baha Mar, an enormous hotel complex on the northern side of Providence Island, Rosewood may be the most luxurious accommodation option of the three, but it’s also laid-back enough that you won’t mind bringing the kids. Overlooking the soft sands of Nassau’s Cable Beach with a team of butlers at hand, Rosewood offers the perfect combination of relaxation and activities sure to keep the entire brood content.

Who should you bring?
A stay at Rosewood offers access to all shared Baha Mar facilities, including a waterpark, casino, golf course, kids’ club and nature sanctuary. Then there are the resort’s own facilities available only to hotel guests, such as three pools (don’t miss the hidden whirlpool), five restaurants and a spa. With so much on offer, a stay here is ideal for pretty much anyone from families and friends to a romantic getaway.
What’s the food like?
Pretty much anything you could imagine eating is available at Baha Mar, from casual dining(think poke bowls and a pizza lab) to all day cafes (there’s an authentic Parisian Cafe that’s *chef’s kiss*), to high end dining experiences by renowned international chefs. There is even a Kosher-certifiedvegetarian food truck (the falafel gyro is a must try). Most restaurants have kid-friendly menus as well. Some of our favorite dinners were at Cafe Boulud offering traditional French cuisine by chef Daniel Boulud, where we devoured a butternut squash veloute and a mango vacherin dessert. Carna, the upscale steakhouse by master butcher Dario Cecchini, is also worth a visit—start with the carna signature bread, then the truffle mac ‘n cheese and finish it off with a six layer chocolate cake for two (which even four of us couldn’t finish). Costa dishes up coastal Mexican cuisine served in an open air setting with over water cabanas and the best lobster enchiladas, grilled mahi mahi tacos, guacamole, chorizo nachos and birria ramen. Then there’s chef Marcus Samuelsson’s Marcus at Baha Mar Fish + Chop House, which offers flavors inspired by Bahamian culture. Here, we recommend the corn bread with bourbon butter and the shrimp and grits. With over 45 restaurants available on-site, we guarantee that even your picky toddler will find something to enjoy.
Did you get a good night’s sleep?
Lush comforters, Rivolta Carmignani linens and black out shades ensured a great night’s sleep for all.
What amenities are available?
whirlpools, in addition to a range of treatment options available). Gym buffs will enjoy the 24/7 fitness enter, as well as the many wellness activities on offer such as hiking along the bluff, cycling classes outside, meditation, beach yoga and more. Speaking of the beach, the Monarch Bay Beach Club is exclusively available to members and guests and has everything you need to surf the waves, paddle board, SUP and more. Or hey, if you’d just like to kick back on a beach chair with a glass of wine, then that’s cool too.
Guests of Rosewood Baha Mar have exclusive beach access as well as their own pools and cabanas. And if you’re staying in a one-bedroom suite, butler service is also included. Unsurprisingly, the butlers wereoutstanding, attending to every need within minutes via text message or phone call. All guests of Baha Mar hotels have unlimited access to Baha Bay water park located on site featuring water rides, an infinity pool lounge area, a children’s play island, as well as food and beverage service. Also on offer is the largest casino in the Caribbean featuring 18 different types of table games, 1,000 slot machines and live sports betting. Nature lovers will get a kick out of the Flamingo Cay and Aviary where guests can get up close and march with the flamingos every day. For kids ages 3 through 12, The Explorers Club is a great option where our kids enjoyed themed nights like pajama night, daytime wildlife encounters at the sanctuary’s touch tank, making s’mores and playing games. Golfers can perfect their stroke at the Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course (and mini golf course), while others so inclined will enjoy the racquet club, two spas, 45+ food and beverage venues, more than 10 pools (three of which are infinity), fitness centers and private cabanas available at Baha Mar.
How was the service?
The service was fast, friendly and attentive—exactly what you would expect from a luxury resort. Any request for more waters, towels, etc. was met promptly and pleasantly. Extra cool detail: You can communicate with the front desk via text message (so much easier than having to call down or visit the front desk IRL, no?).
What was your favorite part?
There is always something exciting for everyone to do at Baha Mar, even if it’s raining. Between thecasino, kids’ club, The Game Zone and restaurants, there are so many choices on offer. You never have to leave the property!
Know before you go:
Even if you are a small group, we highly recommend making dinner reservations well in advance before you go. Bonus: At many of the restaurants kids ages 5 and under eat for free. But keep in mind that your bill may be about 25 percent more than what you initially priced out due to the 15 percent automatic gratuities added to everything and the variety of VAT taxes.
