We strive to make a positive impact in the communities where we live and work. Our leadership team joined forces with Homefront, a community-based, volunteer-driven home repair program that provides free repairs to low-income homeowners.
What do I love about being a Gartner Executive Programs?
Our work in action
I’ve always worked in infrastructure. I had a client who came from the application side and was struggling with, and was new to, the infrastructure side. In our initial conversation he told me his organization was experiencing outages on a weekly, if not daily, basis. We discussed what we needed to do to tackle these issues.
Within each of the technology categories, the team also highlighted the top three to five technologies they felt were of most importance and had the largest potential for market impact in the next five-plus years.
It was ultimately determined that all stakeholders could successfully use the data and clean output was delivered. The team provided the client with
a presentation of the top emerging technologies
in each category, as well as a large database of categorized technologies for every vertical.
This engagement was a win for both the client and Gartner. The client was so impressed by the output that they discussed refreshing the list yearly to stay updated on what technologies are falling behind
or catching up. For Gartner, this validated database of technologies can now be leveraged for other consulting engagements.
