GHD Business School
To help our people further their knowledge and skills, we created the GHD Business School in 2005. It's a dynamic, virtual school that encompasses a wide range of learning activities including:
- On-demand e-learning
- Virtual workshops
- The GHD Technical Conference
- Professional accreditation advice
- Access to LinkedIn Learning for all employees
Becoming an accredited or registered practitioner in your chosen field helps clients and peers recognise your professional skill and technical capability. It's also highly regarded for delivering meaningful client experiences and for individual career development.
Reach your potential faster
Whether you need accreditation from a regulatory or compliance perspective, or for the fact that it is a preferred practice within your industry, there are several external accreditation programs available to our people.
- Jacquelyn L. England, Senior Project Manager, California
I am provided all the resources I need for professional development, including access to technical training and amazing mentors across different service lines. GHD's connected global network allows me ready access to knowledge from technical experts across all our global offices."
- Joel Kostelac, Associate, Harrisburg
GHD has encouraged my participation in seminars, workshops, internal trainings and numerous webinars. In fact, barely a week goes by without something being offered."
- Matt Winkelman, Principal Engineer, Santa Rosa, USA
GHD's technical communities of practice are amazing and enable me to grow professionally through technical learning and resource sharing across the globe. Alongside GHD's Business School, I have the opportunity to grow as a leader within GHD and across the broader water industry."
- Chris Oates, Principal Engineer, Cheadle, UK
GHD's approach to professional development is structured but not scripted. You're set off on your journey and provided with the support to follow your own path whether this is a technical specialism, management role, leader or business development, to name but a few."
I’m an environmental scientist and joined GHD in 2020.
During my first year at GHD, I was given the opportunity to be a project manager on small projects to learn how to become a successful project manager on bigger projects. I was then promoted as an environmental project manager working on larger portfolios in the Contamination and Remediation group. By completing my goal of becoming a project manager, I have started to think about what my next career goal will be in the environmental industry."
- Rosie Makoski, Environmental Scientist, GHD, USA.
