is a consideration for this group, but strength and energy are more of a
focus. They want meals and snacks that provide them with energy and
nutrition, and they want to receive these benefits in multiple formats,
including salty snacks, smoothies, supplements, and sports drinks. In
addition to less strenuous exercise activities like walking and yoga, they
enjoy more active forms of exercise like running and strength training.
Unlike Inactive and Healthy Lifestyle consumers, this group indicates they
care about protein sources, identifying whey protein as their preferred
source. The Active Lifestyle consumer tends to be a bit younger, with 50%
under 40 years of age. This group skews male, with a 55% male to 45%
female ratio.
