The Glory machines had an immediate, measurable impact on cash handling at Freson Bros.
The RESULTS
The Solution
Freson Bros. chose the Glory cash automation solution to integrate with their back-office cash balancing software. With the implementation of the Glory CI-50, part of the CASHINFINITY™ range, they have reduced the amount of cash that they needed to have on hand in the store. This allows them to dispense floats for all lanes within minutes each day, there by negating the need to have extra floats on hand. Additionally, the ability to dispense change quickly and accurately has also improved the efficiency at their front-end point of sale.
Freson Bros. needed a solution that would allow them to improve the accuracy and efficiency of their daily cash balancing processes.
ABOUT Freson bros.
We are able to achieve our goal of reducing the time spent completing our daily cash balancing process to under one hour per day. This has freed up over two hours of time each day for our store Admin Team. This time is now being re-invested in more customer focused activities.

®
AMC has propelled innovation in the exhibition industry by: generating greater guest engagement, apps and offering premium large format experiences and playing a wide variety of content including the latest Hollywood releases and independent programming. AMC operates among the most productive theatres in the United States' top markets, having the #1 or #2 market share positions in 22 of the 25 largest metropolitan areas of the United States, including the top three markets (NY, LA, Chicago). Through its Odeon subsidiary AMC operates in 14 European countries and is the #1 theatre chain in Estonia, Finland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Spain, Sweden and UK & Ireland
AMC is leading the industry with the introduction of the cash accepting kiosk. Previously, box office kiosks across the nation were limited to accepting credit or gift cards, any guest with a cash payment had to forgo that convenience and purchase through the box office cashier. With cash purchases still used by many guests for box office transactions, AMC needed a solution.
Glory is proud of their work and we’re proud to have them as a partner.

Hundreds of labor hours repurposed for bigger and better things for international retailer
Extremely user-friendly interface and many security level settings for employees
Eataly has seen a dramatic increase in efficiencies and the traceability of cash
Peter Mutino, General Manager of Retail Operations at Eataly’s NYC World Trade Center location said “Since we have implemented Glory, at the end of a given week we are saving up to 7-10 hours (per day in manual cash processes). Over the course of a year it’s going to add up monumentally, which is more time to be bettering your business instead of worrying about traceability and where cash flow is going. I’d say at the end of the year you’re looking at tens to hundreds of hours that can be repurposed for bigger and better things or you can save on labor as well.”
ABOUT EATALY

The Glory machines are safes that count themselves. Instead of working with antiquated pens, we have a machine that knows right away if something is counterfeit. The interface is also extremely user friendly and setting security levels for different employees also aids in helping our efficiencies.
Dramatic increase in efficiencies, the traceability of cash and other unanticipated benefits
Peter Mutino, General Manager of Retail Operations at Eataly’s NYC World Trade Center
Eataly has seen other unanticipated benefits such as added security and counterfeit detection
Eataly is the largest Italian marketplace in the world, a unique retailer that combines Italian food and culture in one space with a marketplace, a variety of restaurants, retail items, bakery and food counters and classes for customers. Due to the large volume of cash managed at Eataly, the retailer was looking for a solution to better manage their cash. They were seeking a new approach to manage their cash drawers for all cashiers to save precious time by avoiding the manual counting of cash at the end of each shift. With Glory’s market leading expertise in cash automation technology, Eataly was able to significantly improve their cash processes by automating with Glory’s CASHINFINITY™ CI-300 Cash Recycler.
In addition to the location right here in New York City’s Flatiron District, there are 40 Eataly stores around the world, including; Torino, Milano and Rome among other Italian cities, and locations worldwide in Japan, South Korea, the USA, Brazil, Turkey, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Russia, Germany, and now Sweden.
Since we have implemented Glory, at the end of a given week we are saving up to 7-10 hours (per day in manual cash processes).

Significant reduced time and labor counting cash
Hy-Vee approached Glory for an effective cash management solution, given Glory’s proven track record and since Hy-Vee’s current recycler solution wasn’t serving their needs. Glory could enable the chain to fully automate its cash handling by moving employees from counting cash to more productive roles. Glory performed an investment analysis mapping their current cash processes and worked with the retailer to determine the right system for the grocery chain’s unique needs. Glory’s CASHINFINITY™ CI-300 Cash Recycler was installed for the opening of one of Hy-Vee’s new stores. “The Glory machine is a first for our company and hands down, I love it. It’s tremendous the amount of labor that was able to be cut out of the store, also the amount of human error,” says Tennill.
ABOUT HYVEE
Hy-Vee is among the largest grocery chains in the U.S. with 84,000 employees and 240 stores across the Midwest. Hy-Vee ranks in the Top 10 Most Trusted Brands in America according to the Temkin Loyalty Index.
The Glory machine is a first for our company and hands down, I love it. It’s tremendous the amount of labor that was able be to cut out of the store, also the amount of human error. I would talk any store director into getting one of these.
3 big wins for national grocery chain

More secure, with less scrutiny whie handling cash
As one of the largest supermarket chains in the U.S., the employee-owned chain has been committed to customer service, however, throughout its stores, Hy-Vee employees were spending precious hours managing cash. A distraction from its customer focus. “We were constantly counting registers after every cashier and after every shift. We verified it in the morning, we verified it at night. We were constantly counting,” says Kristi Tennill, Accounting Manager, Hy-Vee, Inc., Bloomington, IL. Hy-Vee needed a solution that would transform cash management across the chain, so employees could spend less time counting cash and more time delivering on customer experience.
We would spend 30-45 minutes on a daily basis counting a deposit to send it to the bank. This is something we don’t have to do anymore because the [Glory] machine does it for us.

Cedar Fair Entertainment Company was looking to solve efficiency and labor issues brought on by consistent growth at their amusement parks, while undergoing a larger cash automation project across the parks. Employees at one Cedar Fair park were spending 75 to 120 hours per day counting cash, reconciling discrepancies, and holding large cash inventories to support park transactions. Additionally, some cashiers had to walk great distances to the main cash office with their unsecured cash bags. Cedar Fair needed a cash handling solution that could:

ABOUT Purdue Federal Credit Union, USA
Our branches have seen immediate results since implementing Glory’s cash recyclers. Working with Glory has been a game changer for us and has improved our member experience.
Heather Nally, VP Sales and Services, Purdue Federal Credit Union
Increased security and reduced worry because of less cash handling and balancing
80% reduction in vault audit and balancing time
Purdue Federal Credit Union is a member-owned financial cooperative with more than 66,000 members nationwide and assets exceeding $900 million, which includes students, faculty and staff, and communities where Purdue University and its regional campuses operate. While Purdue Federal was in the process of creating their first “branch of the future”. they noticed a shift with monetary transactions decreasing and more member consultations increasing. Purdue Federal needed to redesign their branches to account for this shift. It was important to eliminate the physical barriers with a teller line and instead focus on a lobby with increased personal member relationships to help secure new accounts, loans and other sales. Purdue Federal placed dialog pods in the lobby instead of a teller line. They soon realized in order to continue to conduct cash transactions while also allowing additional team members to be on the floor as needed to help members, they needed additional security. As a result, Purdue Federal determined they needed to install cash recyclers in all of its branches.
Headquartered in West Lafayette, Ind., Purdue Federal Credit Union (Purdue Federal) was founded on the Purdue University campus in 1969 by a group of Purdue employees. In December 2010, Purdue Federal acquired Members United Federal Credit Union through a merger. At the time of merger, the credit union changed its name to Purdue Federal, after several previous name changes, to better reflect its membership base, which includes students, faculty and staff, and communities where Purdue University and its regional campuses operate.
After Purdue Federal decided they needed to implement cash recyclers, they conducted their own internal research on brands and manufacturers in the industry. In addition, they spoke with other credit unions that had already implemented recyclers to learn about their experiences before and after installation. As a result of this research, Purdue Federal quickly and easily chose Glory based on its high quality products, responsiveness, customer service and attention to detail. Glory was able to show Purdue Federal all its products onsite in Lisle, IL, and as a result, Purdue purchased and implemented six Vertera™ 6G teller cash recyclers (TCRs). These recyclers will be installed as branches are renovated to include the new consultative concept.

Revolution cash recycler technology helps cash-laden retailers:
Finding a more efficient way forward required a little homework. A Planet 13 sales manager researched many options before discovering Revolution Retail Solutions, which provided the ideal balance of security, user-friendly design, accuracy, storage, and price. Beginning at the Las Vegas location, Planet 13 opted for Fortis™ Series cash recyclers, Revolution’s flagship option for large retail footprints that feature the largest note capacity on the market (up to 19,200 notes). Revolution and Planet 13 integrated the solution in about a month, and after a week-long training session, every employee was ready to roll. The lack of a learning curve, paired with incredible sales and customer service, put Vildósola at ease almost immediately. He cited the support services as a huge security blanket, knowing he could have a reliable on-site technician in no time to help avoid as much downtime as possible.
EVERY YEAR, ROI PAYS FOR ITSELF IN TWO TO THREE MONTHS."
Geno Vildósola, PLANET 13 Director of Operational Excellence
Planet 13 owns the world’s largest cannabis store steps from the Las Vegas Strip.
From the sales floor to the back office, Planet 13 is now running high on efficiency.
First, imagine running a 24/7 retail business. But not just any regularstore front—it’s a 40,000-square-foot floorplan, the largest of its kindin the world. Second, your employees aren’t called associates or members; they are knowledgeable “budtenders.” And third, your core product neared $31 billion in global sales for 2021, roughly 41% more than the previous year.* This store isn’t selling clothes or scented candles. It’s selling cannabis. For Planet 13 Holdings, Inc., this scenario has been a daily reality since it opened in 2018. Based in Nevada, with locations in Las Vegas and Santa Ana, Planet 13 faces many of the cash management challenges retailers do every day, including high-frequency transactions and reconciliation. But unlike most companies, Planet 13 relies on an immense amount of cash on hand. Geno Vildósola, Director of Operational Excellence at Planet 13, said the limited financial assistance forced his team to run a highly manual, error-prone process. Before switching to a more efficient solution, he said employees managed thousands of bills across as many as 80 tills, leaving plenty of opportunities for mistakes. Even more, the large cash volume made complete reconciliation a multi-day endeavor. The delay is less than ideal, he said, especially when inaccuracies could compound into much larger problems. “The whole process became reactive instead of proactive,” he said. Not having access to essential banking and credit services created another problem: safety. His team moving, counting, and storing large quantities of untraceable cash at offsite locations is an enticing opportunity for internal and external theft.
Secure large volumes of cash and protect employees
Deliver scalable features that meet evolving business needs
Vildósola said he noticed a difference right away: “The performance was crazy.” Employees could now work faster and with more peace of mind.
The Planet 13 Cannabis Entertainment Complex, the winner of Leafly’s 2018 Nevada dispensary of the year, offers an unparalleled customer experience focused on unique interactive entertainment and some of the best cannabis products offered anywhere in the United States. The Planet 13 Superstore acts as a showcase for a growing portfolio of branded products including vapes, edibles, pre-rolls, and concentrates.

Glory solutions have been a staple in Harrah’s casino forover 25 years, we knew that the Glory team would be able to help us improve business operations.”
William Cuprak, Regional Casino Controller, Harrah’s Cherokee Casinos
Harrah’s has been a Glory customer since 1997, and in 2016, Harrah’s Cherokee became the first casino operation to install Glory CI-300 cash recyclers. The five CI-300 units that were installed improved business operations tremendously. The casino was able to reduce one cashier per shift after the installation of the CI-300s. With recyclers in place already to help ease the operational burden of the cage and vault, Harrah’s Cherokee’s need turned to improving the processing of non-gaming wallets. Even with the use of desktop coin counters and note counters, additional labor costs (and often overtime) would be incurred due to the number of employees that checkout at the end of the shift and need to turn in their funds. Processing time was reduced significantly. The cost of labor and time it took to manage cash for wallets and tills had become an expensive part of standard business operations for Harrah’s Cherokee. Utilizing the CI-300 units at full capacity for 7 years equated to approximately 12 years of usage based on meter readings. The team then needed expansion of more recycling capacity and newer devices, due to the volumes of cash going through the cash recyclers daily.
Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort is located in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains of Western North Carolina. The 56-acre property has over 3,000 games and features some unique additions like 18,000 square foot Spa, the 3,000 plus seat Event Center, privileged access to the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indian-owned Sequoyah National Golf Club, and UltraStar Multi-tainment center which features 24 bowling lanes. ABOUT HARRAH’S CHEROKEE CASINOS
In October 2022, Harrah’s was the first to run a trial unit for the new-to-market CI-500X cash recycler from Glory. The CI-500X cash recycler is high-speed with extra-large capacity, which is right-sized for the gaming industry. With a CI-500X unit installed in one area of the casino, versus only in a private area of the casino cage, they can improve business operations and reduce costs. Says Cuprak, “It’s a great piece of equipment. Our gaming and non-gaming wallet process is so muchfaster – and more reliable.” They also have units installed in the casino cage to assist other employees who manage cash, like food and beverage cashiers. As a result, they’ve been able to reduce the number of employees that handle, manage and count cash, and to stay focused on the customer experience. Cash recycling has reduced the list of manual exceptions, the amount of paperwork and as a result a huge reduction in balancing and counting errors.
The CI-500X is a high-speed, extra large capacity cash recycler that meets the demands of retail and gaming markets. As an option, CI-500X can accept collection cassettes from CI-10X, meaning no need for manual intervention when handling banknotes and coins. It’s a flexible and scalable solution that can adapt to varying customer environments and cash handling demands.
Implementing CI-500X units in their casinos has produced results for Harrah's Cherokee Casinos specific challenges around managing cash for wallets and tills at the beginning and end of employee shifts. When asked what they liked about the new CI-500X versus the CI-300, William Cuprak said, “The speed, the CI-500X is faster and holds more funds, which reduces the amount of time employees spend on handling wallets.”
CI-500X: POWERFUL CASH RECYCLING FOR THE vault or cash room
Significantly reduced time and labor counting cash – taking one third less time to empty wallets.
Achieved ROI in less than a year in labor savings and were able to eliminate acage cashier.
Reduced staff time spent on errors and violations, with a notable decrease in the time needed to review and correct paperwork.
Down time is very low; service is great when needed.
More Than Just Cage Efficiency - Cash Transformation

In October 2022, Harrah’s was the first to run a trial unit for the new-to-marketCI-500X cash recycler from Glory. The CI-500X cash recycler is high-speed withextra-large capacity, which is right-sized for the gaming industry. With a CI-500Xunit installed in one area of the casino, versus only in a private area of the casinocage, they can improve business operations and reduce costs. Says Cuprak, “It’s agreat piece of equipment. Our gaming and non-gaming wallet process is so muchfaster – and more reliable.” They also have units installed in the casino cage to assist other employees who managecash, like food and beverage cashiers. As a result, they’ve been able to reduce thenumber of employees that handle, manage and count cash, and to stay focused on thecustomer experience. Cash recycling has reduced the list of manual exceptions, theamount of paperwork and as a result a huge reduction in balancing and counting errors.
The CI-500X is a high-speed, extralargecapacity cash recycler that meetsthe demands of retail and gamingmarkets. As an option, CI-500X can acceptcollection cassettes from CI-10X, meaning no need for manual intervention whenhandling banknotes and coins. It’s aflexible and scalable solution that canadapt to varying customer environmentsand cash handling demands.
Implementing CI-500X units in their casinos has produced results for Harrah’sCherokee specific challenges around managing cash for wallets and tills at thebeginning and end of employee shifts. When asked what they liked about the newCI-500X versus the CI-300, William Cuprak said, “The speed, the CI-500X is fasterand holds more funds, which reduces the amount of time employees spend onhandling wallets.”
