NOTES:
I’ve officially reached the “Why aren’t I better by now?” portion of the season, and almost all of it is tied to one club—the driver. While certainly better than it was a year ago, I am still susceptible to days when I spend too much time recovering from poor tee shots. I feel like I’m onto something now, however. Seriously, I mean it. Stop laughing.

NOTES:
I've been working at Golf Digest for five years, and I finally won my first match in the company match-play event, so I can't lie: I'm pretty pleased with my golf game right now. Of course, that could all change in a second, but my ball striking is almost “good” and my putting has improved drastically. To be honest, it’s probably the reason I got a win. The inconsistency and terrible shots here and there are still infuriating … obviously. I’ll take what I can get though.

NOTES:
Not going to lie, I really wasn't expecting my season to go this way. My ball-striking is atrocious. Worse than it has been in a long time. Ball is going short and crooked, which generally isn't a great combination. Confidence is low, and I'm in the process of blowing it all up, because it can't go on like this. But my short game is ... somehow awesome. I lost in the club championship to the eventual winner, who told me after my round that I could "get up and down from a trash can." I guess being a magician scrambler is my identity now.
