Recharge on Goodwin

Take a Night Out on Us

Atmosphere of Appreciation

Vacation time is a vital part of our culture. The Recharge on Goodwin program provides eligible associates, professional track lawyers, science advisors and science law clerks the opportunity to choose from a selection of curated week-long trips – on us – to relax and rejuvenate.

We support time away from work by providing $300 on a quarterly basis to eligible associates and professional track lawyers to spend on dining and entertainment with friends and/or family. We also work with eligible employees on child or other care needs to ensure they fully enjoy the night out.

Every person who works at Goodwin should feel supported, respected and appreciated by the people they work most closely with. We encourage an atmosphere of appreciation outside of formal reviews to build a more inclusive and welcoming environment.

Our Learning & Professional Development Team is committed to a culture of continuous learning. We provide billable credit for core development activities and practice area-specific trainings through on-demand learning platforms like Practicing Law Institute and Hotshot.

Examples of these programs include:

Oral Communications Skills We partner with outside communications skills experts on developing communication and presentation skills through practice, feedback and practice tips.

Contact Drafting Fundamentals Our partners and counsel lead a multi-session training program to help our Business Law associates improve their contract drafting skills.

In partnership with Goodwin partners and the National Institute for Trial Advocacy, this two-day workshop provides instructional sessions and hands-on exercises for junior litigation associates looking to tackle the basics of taking and defending depositions.
