Deanna, Icle, and Tim were very accommodating, informative, and encouraging, which was a huge help since we were writing while teaching big course loads and carrying big service loads as well.

After talking to Shauna and then Deanna, it was apparent they were willing to take a chance on me and my editor team as new textbook authors. Also, they were mindful of my busy schedule teaching highly popularly classes. I love working with them.

Personally I really enjoyed the textbook. As a student who struggles with ADHD, I often have difficulty reading long, mundane paragraphs from textbooks. This was the first textbook I had ever read for school where I felt genuinely interested and engaged with the material, because it was at a level I was able to comprehend and it read very clearly. This textbook allowed me to succeed much more in the class.
University of Tennessee - Knoxville
What helped me the most were the breaks in the text, such as pictures, examples, and different aspects. The text was not hard to read, and I did not struggle to enjoy reading or learning. The book was laid out in a way that made it easy to find specific topics.
It is nice to feel urged to read a textbook and have direct answers to questions at the end of chapters that are actually in the text. Some textbooks don't do this and it ultimately causes students to doubt what they've read.
Honestly an incredible textbook! Complicated jargon in textbooks is the reasons students never read them, so by keeping it simple I don't feel intimidated to learn.
