Create training curricula enabling enterprise-wide IT changes
Analyze financial impact of pharmacy benefit changes
We calculated the financial impact of pharmacy benefit changes using actual data to forecast program implementation costs and potential cost savings. The resulting model includes detailed National Drug Code-level price information, factors in medication replenishment changes, allows for retail refund inputs, and calculates mail order and retail channel costs, thereby helping the client inform future division-wide budgets.

Develop analyses to inform strategic decision-making
Our team rapidly responded to inquiries and legislative requirements from Congress, DoD, ASD(HA), and other key stakeholders to support a major Defense Health Agency (DHA) transition. This included leveraging our commercial healthcare capabilities to conduct buyer-side analyses and develop a cost-of-care analysis to support critical decision-making.

Establish program identity through strategic communications
Guidehouse developed and managed execution of an enterprise-wide communication strategy and plan, working collaboratively with cross-functional DHA stakeholders. To build awareness and acceptance of program initiatives and direction, we created vital communications, including executive briefings, conference materials, and newsletters.

Facilitate organizational change with (re)Vision methodology
We led organizational change management for a major DHA IT transformation. We assessed the current state and desired future state delta and developed an organizational strategy based on our human centered design (re)Vision methodology and behavioral science techniques. Our support helped build awareness, understanding, and adoption of new ways of working.

Guide functional leads to champion their requirements
Our team provides engaging workshops to coach functional military medical staff on interacting with the planning programming, budgeting, and execution (PPBE) process. Our interactive sessions help demystify the PPBE cycle for non-financial personnel, foster a programmatic mindset, and develop draft materials that help them become champions of innovative ideas and seek additional resourcing so they come to fruition.

Execute the standardization and modernization of Revenue Cycle for an electronic health record
We implemented and optimized Revenue Cycle for an electronic health record (EHR) system. We evaluated current state, developed technical and process driven improvement strategies, and standardized best practice revenue cycle approaches across the enterprise aimed at ensuring effective patient throughput, efficient submission and processing of claims, and timely account resolution. Our capabilities were leveraged across Scheduling, Referral Management, Registration and Charge Services functions, and the development of an enterprise level strategy for addressing system needs.
