Hackensack University Medical Center earned the nation's first Gold Seal for Advanced Perinatal Care and the most Joint Commission disease-specific certifications in the country, while HMH expanded its cancer program, opened its 18th hospital and new emergency and Health & Wellness Centers.

The School of Medicine celebrated its inaugural commencement of 18 graduates, the Center for Discovery and Innovation grew to 22 labs (backed by a record $108 million NIH grant), and Hackensack University Medical Center became the first in New Jersey to offer MRI-guided focused ultrasound for tremors.
