Why RCF
Why Haworth
RCF Group was founded in 2003 when Scott Robertson of Globe Business Interiors (GBI) and Carl Satterwhite of Infinity Services joined forces to better accommodate their client bases. Since then, our goal has been to deliver a human experience that is second to none. And to be a driver of culture, and leader of experiences, that fuel conversations about the evolution of spaces, and the impact on people. Although we began in the contract furniture business, RCF Group’s products and services have evolved in response to our client’s needs to include facility services in 2004, landscape management in 2006, and architectural interiors in 2012. RCF Group acquired Cuyahoga Companies and S. Rose Inc. in 2014 and merged the two into our now Cleveland office. In 2019, RCF Group acquired Office Environment Company to establish our Louisville office.
About RCF Group
History, Ownership, Services
MBE Tier 1 or Tier 2 Supplier
RCF Group, the authorized Haworth distributer, is a nationally certified MBE through the NMSDC. All spend through RCF Group qualifies as Tier 1 MBE spend. Furthermore, RCF Group strives to provide a Tier 2 spend by utilizing minority owned furniture manufacturers for necessary applications.
Leadership/Organization Structure
RCF Group has 90+ total employees and our leadership consists of Carl Satterwhite, Owner + President; Scott Robertson, Co-Owner; Bryan Lindholz, Vice President + COO; Damian Thomas, Cleveland Market Leader; and Brandon Lucas, Louisville General Manager.
Value-Added Services
RCF Group offers a holistic approach to services provided, stemming from a client's need. Through our three divisions (Furniture and Furnishings, Architectural Interiors and Facility Services), we provide best in class service beyond furniture procurement. Our design integration, asset/move/decommission management bring a full service offering with a single point of contact. Furthermore, through our integrated process, we identify the goals of the project and work a plan to ensure a complete success. This includes budget, schedule, value engineering, etc. Regardless of the need, RCF Group is committed to a long-term partnership.
Vendor Managed Inventory Programs
RCF Group offers a stocking program for items which clients use on a daily basis. This includes the procurement and storage of new, high need items, as well as asset management of existing items needing stored for redeployment. A sampling of clients currently utilizing our asset management program includes Proctor and Gamble, Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, Total Quality Logistics (TQL), Duke Energy, and UC Health. Our asset management program is scalable and can be as simple as a shared document, offsite storage, or as robust as SnapTracker, our online and shared asset management system. This allows full transparency and online reservations for items needing redeployed. Regardless of the need, RCF Group has experience on a scaled approach to deliver asset management at the required level.
Consignment Programs
RCF Group is willing to hold an attic stock of identified products for quick turnaround needs. From ancillary products to full workstation and office setups, RCF Group has the capacity and warehousing available to accommodate any need.
Communicates and Deploys Best Practices
RCF Group and Haworth have a dedicated team for each client to ensure all levels of the process are flawless. We provide a schedule of key deliverables and decisions based on the client's needs, communicate through the process, track all updates in a shared database (key decisions, deliverables, ship dates, installation dates, etc.), manage the plan/installation, and provide post-occupancy support and tracking. Additionally, RCF Group reports savings of spend through all negotiated contracts to show the monetary value we provide as we advocate on behalf of our client.
Monitor Customer Satisfaction
Through online client surveys and post-occupancy surveys, RCF Group tracks and reports all findings through each phase of the project including Schematic Design, Design Development, Installation, and Post-occupancy. Furthermore, we actively engage with all vendors to ensure product ships as it is acknowledged.
Survey or Questionnaires to End-users
We deploy online surveys for user satisfaction, onsite surveys for product receipt and installation, and post occupancy follow ups for product performance, along with monitoring design intent performance to ensure the space and product is being used as originally intended. These results are reported back to each client for complete transparency in the form of data reports along with photos (where applicable).
Consolidation of SKUs
RCF Group engages to understand the workspace objectives and will create a "kit of parts" for standard items. This helps to identify frequently deployed products for a quick selection and specification process.

Designing for Sustainability
Our design teams consider the environmental, social, and economic impact through sustainable material choices, waste-reducing engineering processes, avoidance of Haworth banned chemicals and chemical compounds of concern, and alignment with leading certifications. Considerations for the use of safer materials continue to drive us to evaluate more sustainable solutions as alternatives become commercially available. We continue to offer products free of problematic chemicals such as non-stick additives derived from per- and poly-fluorinated compounds, antimicrobials, PVC, and associated phthalates, flame retardants, and heavy metals. The drive toward sustainable, healthier solutions also support our clients in achieving their sustainable goals.
Through our design-led approach, we’recommitted to addressing the environmental impacts of our business.

Circular Services
We aim to make it easier for customers to utilize alternatives to the landfill when disposing of workplace products no longer needed. We continue to explore environmentally preferred solutions that drive environmental stewardship, economic growth, and community prosperity.

Third places provide opportunities to get away from the distractions of home and office. These dynamic environments also help to fuel the creative process. Third places offer a more casual space to meeting with others as well as a spot to stop, work, and interact while traveling or on the go. They are alternative spaces when office occupancy is at capacity and home is not the best option for the work required. Third places provide access to others, in a different atmosphere that sparks creativity, enhances connection, and fosters a sense of belonging.

Home can be a supportive environment for focus work, reading, scheduled phone calls, and virtual meetings. When planning a home office, consider what the space has to offer: How much area is allotted, and how much time will be spent there? Then decide what elements are needed to support the primary activities performed at home.
Focus at Home
Work from Anywhere is the ecosystem that gives organizations and employees choice in where and when work occurs. We start by looking at the entire ecosystem: office, home, and third places. Then, with an emphasis on the office as a hub, we optimize the space for activities that foster interaction, collaboration, and creativity to drive innovation. The office floorplate needs to respond with flexible environments that allow people to work fluidly. Discover ways to design spaces that support four culture types based on the Competing Values Framework™: Collaborate, Create, Compete, and Control to support human performance and nurture well-being.

Haworth products and solutions provide variety and choice. We’re living in a hybrid world of traditional workspaces, private offices, open plans, and social spaces. We have intentionally designed products in two categories: products that define the space, serving as infrastructure and creating visual order and products that add dimension, variety, color, and texture—the products that move. It’s the intellect of the design process with the freedom to put our parts and pieces together in meaningful ways to solve a real issue. Every product is rooted in desire and performance. Kit of Parts
Haworth’s product design strategy, The Integrated Palette, allows design freedom and helps future proof solutions by providing for the one constant – change. By designing our products to accommodate cross-platform logics, we can develop a kit of parts across multiple product lines. We can mitigate organizational, cultural, and departmental shifts and solve global workplace standards. By understanding and developing solutions at both ends of the clients’ need spectrum and multiple points outside the specification, we can help minimize parts, maximize flexibility and predict future needs with minimal products – a truly integrated kit of parts that can span departments, locations, culture.
Integrated Palette
Haworth is the only manufacturer in our industry that delivers a fully integrated kit of parts. Many of our product lines - including systems, storage, tables, desking, and walls - are designed to integrate on a number of levels beyond finishes (including interconnectivity and scale), so that no matter how many times a product is reconfigured or reused, it will maintain a clean and cohesive appearance. Pieces can be moved, swapped, and rearranged, allowing you to focus on a design that works for today with the assurance that changes for evolving workstyles can be made with minimal effort. Products that are easily reused, rewired, and repurposed not only ease space reconfigurations but also retain their value.
We are committed to designing products for multiple use phases, maximizing product and resource value, minimizing waste. Every product should be designed for long life, optimal (re)use, renewability, refurbishment, remanufacturing, and recycling.
