Expertise
Beginning with research-driven insights, Hunter executes strategic, integrated communications programming that builds brand equity, increases engagement and drives measurable business results for the world’s best known and most beloved brands.
We were founded in 1989 with a specialization in food and beverage PR and have grown organically into adjacent categories as our clients moved on and took us with them.
In addition to our leading F+B practice, currently ranked No. 2 in the U.S., expertise includes health and beauty, home and lifestyle, travel and hospitality, fashion, e-commerce and retail.
From a foundation in traditional PR, we have expanded our capabilities over the past decade to include a full suite of solutions including brand strategy and planning; social and digital media; influencer engagement; content creation; and marketing to multicultural and global audiences.

Diversity
& Inclusion
We have grown the ranks of non-white employees by 5% since 2018 to 23%.
We implemented mandatory unconscious bias and microaggression training for all staff.
Staff-led Direct Actions, Advocacy and Education subcommittees provide opportunities and resources, fostering an inclusive environment.
Hunter’s efforts to address the lack of diversity in the PR industry dates back to our founder Barbara Hunter, who equalized pay between men and women as her very first move as chairwoman of D-A-Y in 1959. In 2020 we reaffirmed our efforts to address systemic inequities by forming the Hunter: Anti-Racism Action Group, making diversity and inclusion a prominent part of our permanent culture.
