Acupuncture has been a part of traditional Chinese medicine for thousands of years. One 2021 study suggested that acupuncture can further lower inflammation in the body and improve psoriasis symptoms when used along with psoriasis medications.

Stress is a common trigger for psoriasis. Mindfulness strategies such as meditation or yoga might help to improve psoriasis. Mindfulness may also help with depression, which is more common in people with psoriasis.
People with psoriasis tend to be less active than those without psoriasis. Research suggests that being more active may help manage psoriasis, as it could help reduce inflammation. Exercise can also help with sleep and mood, both of which can be challenging for people with psoriasis.
Curcumin and fish oil supplements may be helpful for psoriasis. Taking vitamin D supplements may improve psoriasis symptoms if your vitamin D levels are low.
Probiotic supplements may also be helpful, but more research is needed.
