The star power continues Saturday evening when five-time “best jazz vocal album” Grammy Award winner Dianne Reeves performs in concert with Latin Grammy winner Romero Lubambo at Bacchus Landing. Ms. Reeves, the Los Angeles Philharmonic's first Creative Chair for Jazz, is known for taking her audience on an unforgettable musical odyssey. The performance begins at 7 pm.
Ferrari-Carano will host an all-day jazz celebration beginning with a public Jazz Brunch from 10 am -2 pm, followed by jazz in the courtyard throughout the afternoon. The 25th Anniversary Healdsburg Jazz Festival finale is scheduled for Sunday evening from 5 pm-7 pm. Doors open at 3 pm for a night of New Orleans magic featuring Dr. Michael White and his Original Liberty Jazz Band in a tribute to Sidney Bechet. The tribute, featuring Big Chief Donald Harrison, is a perfect note to conclude this year’s celebration of the past, present and future of Healdsburg Jazz.

Bacchus Landing will also host another stellar evening of jazz notables Friday for a special evening honoring Healdsburg Jazz Founder Jessica Felix. The Joey DeFrancesco and Pharoah Sanders Tribute Concert will feature world-renowned percussionist Munyungo Jackson, multi-instrumentalist Tomoki Sanders and the highly esteemed and former Miles Davis sideman Azar Lawrence among a Who’s Who cast of exceptional players.
Jazz and late night have always gone together like an alto sax and standup bass. The Elephant in the Room will host several "after-hours" affairs during Healdsburg Jazz, starting the opening night with the Howard Wiley Quartet. Amy D + Dillon Vado takes the stage Thursday, June 22, and The Lorca Hart Quartet performs Friday, June 23. The Hotel Healdsburg Spirit Bar is the place to be Saturday night when Sylvia Cuenca Trio + special guests perform for no cover. All late-night shows begin at 9 pm.
Saturday begins with another Healdsburg Jazz tradition, performances by the HBG Jazz Future All-Stars at the Farmers’ Market. Director Tiffany Austin will lead the Freedom Jazz Choir at St. Paul's Church from 1-3 pm. The richly textured Gaea Schell Quartet will also perform.

Healdsburg Jazz provides music for everyone, from a Tuesday noon Lunch Concert featuring Grupo Falso Baiano at the Madrona (editor's note: the noon lunch concert has sold out) to a free concert with Carlitos Medrano and Sabor de mi Cuba in historic Healdsburg Plaza that evening at 6 pm. There’s also a Dinner Show Wednesday, June 21, with Stella Health’s Billie Holiday Project in the Hotel Healdsburg Garden Courtyard, a perfect way to sing in summer. The Dinner Show starts at 5 pm, and the Dessert & Sparkling Show at 7:30.
The Bill Frisell Trio featuring Thomas Morgan and Rudy Royston returns Thursday evening to Bacchus Landing. Vocalist Camille Thurman will also perform with the Darrell Green Quartet, a simply fantastic night of luminescent performance within a sumptuous setting.

Healdsburg Jazz will celebrate the past, present and future this year. The Festival begins with the traditional Juneteenth Celebration in Healdsburg Plaza. The free concert will start at 2 pm and finish at 8 pm, with six hours of outstanding live performances featuring the Charles McPherson Quintet. The alto sax virtuoso will be by trumpeter Terell Stafford, pianist Randy Porter, Akira Tana on drums and bassist Marcus Shelby.
Vocalist Martin Luther the Real McCoy and MJ’s Brass Boppers will keep people on the Plaza moving and grooving. The Robin Hodge Williams Gospel Choir will kick things up a notch and Healdsburg Jazz Poet Laureate Enid Pickett will be on hand to lend us some spoken word. Between acts, KCSM’s Greg Bridges will keep things flowing.
Singer Samara Joy, the 2023 Grammy Award winner for Best New Artist and Best Jazz Vocal Album, will help celebrate Father's Day on Sunday when she performs at Bacchus Landing at 7 pm.
Mondays are anything but dark during Healdsburg Jazz, as Artist in Residence John Santos will be on hand to show the Santos: Skin to Skin documentary, followed by a live show with the John Santos Filosofia caribeña. The show, scheduled for 6 pm at The Raven, is one of several “don’t miss” performances at the 2023 festival.

The 25th Anniversary Healdsburg Jazz Festival invites exceptional musicians to Sonoma County from June 17-25. This year's lineup celebrates the musical past, present and future. The Festival will feature NEA Jazz Master Dianne Reeves, who will perform on June 24. Healdsburg Jazz also welcomes Samara Joy, the 2023 Grammy Award Winner for Best New Artist and Best Jazz Vocal Album, who performs on June 18.
