This year marks the sixth time Adirondack Orthodontics has been named Best Orthodontist in the Times Union Best of the Capital Region Reader’s Poll. Even as the field of orthodontics advances and new firms open all the time, the newspaper reported last year that Adirondack Orthodontics still received more votes than the four other finalists combined in the 2024 poll. And this year, we were once again overwhelmed with your positive response.
Started as a way to help the community discover the best goods and services, this marks the 28th year of the Times Union poll. This poll is not a competition or contest judged by industry experts or peers, nor is it a paid advertisement. This is coming from readers, you, our loyal customers, our neighbors, our friends.
From the initial write-in nominations to the final voting round—when the top five finalists appear on the Times Union ballot—the process is entirely managed by a third-party company. Readers cast their votes online through an interactive poll, with up to 100 different “Best Of” categories to choose from.
When the polls closed, we were notified along with the winners in other categories. The official list was published in the Times Union on May 18th and is published online.
And your vote of confidence means more to us than any plaque or trophy.
Our favorite part about the Times Union Reader’s Poll is that it’s not us telling you we’re the best (though we stand by our record of service), and it’s not the newspaper or other experts. It’s you telling us — and the rest of the newspaper’s readership — that you think we’re great.
And we’re hoping that helps get the word out that it’s an exciting time in orthodontics.
