Real healthy living is holistic, a lifestyle that’s accessible to all. Wellness isn’t just for the wealthy; it’s for us, people with families and jobs and lives outside of working out. Most of us aren’t training for an Ironman or weightlifting competition when we exercise. We’re training for real life.
Anytime Fitness knows looking your best can build confidence, but the reality of feeling great is so much more important. That’s why an Anytime Fitness membership is about more than the machines. At Anytime Fitness, your overall well-being is priority one. With personalized training, nutrition and recovery plans presented to members on their first day via the AF App and support from their friendly, professional coaches every day after, Anytime Fitness helps real people make real progress.
What does living healthy mean in 2023?
At Anytime Fitness, every personal goal is impressive AF. Anytime Fitness member Alyssa, mother of three, is no stranger to challenges, but when she decided to run a half marathon, she realized she needed some extra help to get going. Alyssa joined her convenient local Anytime Fitness and connected with Coach Mike for weekly training sessions. Next thing she knew, Alyssa was doing her first pull-up and getting ready for her half-marathon, despite being a running newbie. Coach Mike helped Alyssa succeed by guiding her on a personalized training plan that broke down larger goals into smaller, obtainable targets. Then, Coach Mike encouraged and supported her as they worked toward reaching them. The accountability made all the difference, giving Alyssa the motivation to keep pressing toward the goal.
If you just don’t quit, you’ll always be better than the day before.”
"If you just don’t quit, you’ll always be better than the day before," says Alyssa. For those who, like her, need an extra push to get started, Alyssa recommends signing up for something, like she did with the half marathon. “It was totally a bucket list thing, but it got me going and in the door and it got me in a routine and committed 100%. And now I’m doing my next one in October. Just start and don’t quit. Because, if you don’t just start, you’ll never start.”
When I’m at the gym, I feel at peace with everything.”

Coaching as Community
Coaching at AF works because it fosters lasting relationships. Jaymie, an Anytime Fitness member for the last nine years, has been training with Coach Daniel for eight years, and seen remarkable results. Jaymie joined AF to stay healthy enough to enjoy her kids and grandkids. During her time at AF, Jaymie has lost significant weight and now competes in weightlifting and deadlifting competitions, going from an overweight couch potato to an Illinois State record holder. And it’s all been under Coach Daniel’s guidance. “Daniel is phenomenal,” says Jaymie. “He keeps me motivated and accountable. When I don’t want to work out, he keeps me coming in and working hard, challenging me to be my best.” For Jaymie, AF is more than a gym; it’s a community where she feels welcome. In 2021, Jaymie went through the most challenging year of her life. Her husband had major health problems, she was hospitalized with COVID, and her sister passed away.
When I just wanted to crawl into a hole and disappear, Anytime Fitness kept me focused and cleared my mind.”
"When I just wanted to crawl into a hole and disappear, Anytime Fitness kept me focused and cleared my mind," Jaymie recalls. “When I could have lost it, AF was my happy place. I didn’t have time to give up. My friends at the gym make me want to be better.”
AF training plans are personalized because everyone’s path toward healthier living is individual to them. Anytime Fitness member James began going to AF to increase muscle, but his fitness goals were interrupted by a devastating diagnosis of terminal cancer that left him fighting for his life. Throughout his struggle, James wished for two things: to live and to get back in the gym.
James beat Stage IV Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, and within a year, he was back at AF working to recover from chemotherapy that had left him weighing just 95 pounds. James’ dedication, along with the support of his gym community, paid off. James has increased his body weight to a healthy 130 pounds. “James is a testament that going day-by-day and consistent hard work can get you there,” says his friend, Spencer. Everyone who joins AF has their own unique story, yet they all share one important quality: anytime, anywhere access. Anytime Fitness offers 24/7 access to 5000+ fitness centers all over the globe.
