For many new and expecting moms, the journey from pregnancy to postpartum is filled with joy, questions and moments of uncertainty. Increasingly, moms are turning to digital health solutions for support.
In Texas, moms can find comfort and clarity through Baylor Scott & White Health’s innovative digital pregnancy and postpartum programs, which offer personalized guidance, timely check-ins and direct access to nurse care advocates.
Baylor Scott & White Health’s digital programs offer lifeline for expectant and new mothers
A first-time mom finds reassurance at her fingertips
When Megan Rodriguez of Ennis learned she was expecting her first child, she felt the familiar mix of excitement and nerves that many new moms experience. During her very first OB-GYN appointment, she was introduced to Baylor Scott & White’s pregnancy care program available through MyBSWHealth, and it quickly became part of her daily routine.
“I loved having trusted answers right there on my phone,” Rodriguez says. “I didn’t want to bother my doctor with every small question, and I definitely didn’t want to rely on Google.”
It was simple, convenient, reliable and fast.

The program’s stage-specific updates, symptom check-ins and educational content helped her understand what was normal and what wasn’t. She especially appreciated how the guidance aligned with exactly what she was experiencing each week.
But what impressed her most was the response time from her nurse care advocate. “Most of the time they responded the same day, sometimes within 30 minutes,” she says. “It was so amazing.”
When Rodriguez came down with a cold late in her pregnancy, she used the chat feature to ask about safe medications. Within minutes, she received detailed, personalized guidance that put her mind at ease. “It gave me so much peace of mind,” she says. “I never had to guess.”
Rodriguez welcomed her healthy baby girl feeling informed, supported and grateful for the digital tools that helped her navigate pregnancy with confidence.
While Rodriguez’s journey began with the pregnancy program, Yazmin Musa of Rowlett found her support three weeks after giving birth to her son at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Lake Pointe in September 2024.
Musa’s second pregnancy was smooth, and her planned C-section at 38½ weekswent far better than her first delivery, which had been an emergency C-sectionin another state. But once she returnedhome with a newborn and a busy 3-year-old, she realized she needed help.
A second-time mom discovers postpartum support when she needs it most
That’s when she received an email letting her know she qualified for Baylor Scott & White’s postpartum program.
She enrolled immediately, and soon after, a postpartum nurse navigator named Kristen reached out. At the time, Musa was struggling to wean Idris off a nipple shield. He could latch, but feeding without it felt impossible.
“I had a video call with Kristen, and she helped me solve the problem right away,” Musa says. “She gave me resources, ideas and so much reassurance.”
With a newborn and toddler at home, leaving the house felt overwhelming. Virtual support made all the difference. “It was extremely convenient,” she says. “Kristen was so helpful."
Two journeys, one message: Support matters
Though Rodriguez and Musa had different experiences — one navigating pregnancy for the first time, the other adjusting to life with two children — their stories share a common thread: Baylor Scott & White’s digital care programs helped them feel informed, supported and never alone.
For Rodriguez, the pregnancy program offered:
● Trusted, credible information without the stress of online searching
● Fast responses from a nurse care advocate
● Stage-specific guidance that matched her symptoms
● Peace of mind during her first pregnancy
Together, their experiences highlight how digital tools, combined with compassionate clinical support, can make a meaningful difference for moms at every stage.
Baylor Scott & White’s pregnancy and postpartum programs are designed to work hand in hand, offering a seamless continuum of support from the first trimester through the fourth.
When moms have access to timely, personalized support, delivered in ways that fit their lives, they feel more confident, more informed and more empowered.
And that’s something every family deserves.

Like Rodriguez, Musa loved the weekly check-ins, which always seemed to appear at the perfect moment. “It popped up right when I needed it,” she says. “Everything was in one place, and I could go back to the articles anytime.” The check-ins also helped her recognize something she hadn’t been paying attention to: her own well-being.
“I wouldn’t have prioritized my health without the app,” she says. “It reminded me to take care of myself.”
Digital tools that empower moms to care for themselves, too
By the time she returned to work in January, the program offered guidance on transitioning back to her job, another moment of support that arrived right on time. In addition to return-to-work coaching, the program can help connect new moms with lactation consultants, pelvic floor specialists and mental health resources.
Musa used the postpartum program from October 2024 through January 2025 and says she would recommend it to any new mom. “It was simple, convenient, reliable and fast,” she says.
