Changing the Way You Think About Vodka and Community Pride
As consumers of fine spirits, we’ve never experienced a vodka quite like NEFT. Conceived in Russia in 2012 to create a vodka more pristine than any other, ancient rye grains were combined with pure Austrian Alps spring water. It was brought to market by Ekaterina Kuzima, a woman with deep roots in the Siberian oil industry. Paying homage to her family’s history, she put NEFT in a package unlike any other: a barrel-shaped like that of a small oil drum.
The eye-catching, one-of-a-kind barrel is also extremely functional. Not only is it unbreakable, making it perfect for the active lifestyle, but once chilled, it stays cold for up to 6 hours in any season. Taking a trip to the beach, camping, or headed to the pool? NEFT goes everywhere you want to go.
The barrel is available in three options: black, white, and Community Pride, all containing the same ultra-pure and pristine vodka. Originally introduced as a seasonal barrel in 2020, the Pride barrel recently became available year-round in celebration of the LGBTQ community. Designed by mixed-media artist Paul Robinson, the barrel was specifically created to reflect the company’s core values. Robinson hopes to introduce a new design for the Pride barrel, among other barrel options, at least every year. Like the black and white barrels, the Pride barrel is made of tin and aluminum so more recyclable than glass and ideal for a backpacking trip or any other outdoor venue.
The company also recently launched a highly successful LGBTQ ad campaign which is receiving widespread accolades. “We didn’t want this to be a specific June Pride push, but more about always being inclusive of the LGBTQ community,” says Mahony. “The theme of the campaign is, Love is Always the Way, which is what we believe is the common thread uniting all communities into one.”
At NEFT, the team takes their community spirit a major step further through donations to a variety of causes and has made philanthropy a central tenet of the brand’s mission. Some examples include donations or sponsorships for Walk with Sally – a provider offers individualized mentoring and community support for children experiencing trauma due to a family member’s cancer journey; Dream Street Foundation -– an organization that supports children and young adults with chronic and life-threatening diseases; Starlight Foundation – a cause dedicated to enrichinges the lives of hospitalized children; and, Elijah Rising – a Texas based charity, dedicated to ending sex trafficking across the world.

In addition, NEFT is sponsoring both Project Angel Food’s annual telethon and New York-based God’s Love We Deliver this month, and is currently in discussions to establish a partnership with the San Francisco Aids Foundation.
While we’ve seen spirits companies offer superior products, create unique packaging or partake in charitable activities, we’ve never seen one quite like NEFT; delivering on all three. The exceptional packaging will make you try it, the world-class taste will have you hooked, and the brand’s unwavering commitment to helping others will make you proud to be a customer. In this regard, NEFT is the ultimate trifecta.
To join the rapidly growing clan of NEFT enthusiasts, drop by Safeway, Draeger’s, Epicurean Trader, and other fine retailers to pick up a barrel. NEFT can also be purchased online at buyneft.com or by texting” “NEFT” to 926-848. Visit NEFT to learn more and see for yourself that a new era of vodka has arrived.

But make no mistake, the outstanding packaging is no gimmick: what’s inside is a superior, high-quality, and flavorsome vodka with tons of character. It’s no surprise that the San Francisco World’s Spirits Competition awarded it Best Vodka out of 170 other vodkas from around the world, as well as back-to-back Double Gold Medals. Given the increasingly competitive vodka market, these are no small feats. Competition or not, NEFT is experiencing triple and quadruple-digit growth and has been touted as a vodka that is not only perfect for enhancing your favorite cocktails, but also one that can be sipped neat.
In addition to changing our idea of how vodka can taste, NEFT, led by Jeff Mahony the company’s Chairman of the Board and Founder of NEFT US, is exceptional in its brand culture. "In my personal life I perceive the world as a single community based on diversity, equality, and inclusiveness," Mahony says. “I know that businesses and many groups take a more individualized approach, but at NEFT, we see one community worldwide.”
