A revitalized downtown Saginaw will be the site of a Food Truck Faceoff on Friday, June 10, 2022, from 4 p.m. – 9 p.m. at Jolt Credit Union Event Park. Presented by Burt Watson Auto Group, Food Truck Faceoff 2022 features four scheduled dates this summer. Following opening night on June 10, the popular summer series returns for events on July 8 and July 29 before concluding on August 25.
Food trucks offering so many favorite street eats will compete for the coveted championship judged by a panel of Great Lakes Bay Region residents. The free family-friendly event typically attracts about 1,000 people for each Faceoff.

Local officials are thrilled that Food Truck Faceoff has grown to become such a popular attraction in downtown Saginaw since its inception, in 2018. The event contributes to the positive image of downtown, the site of many major development projects in recent years. Socially, it brings people together and provides a unifying force for the community. It also provides an economic boost to the local economy.
“The Food Truck Faceoff is a perfect night out for the family,” said Scott Reed, a Saginaw resident who has attended the event in the past. “Great food. Great entertainment. I highly recommend it.”
Admission is free and in addition to some of the finest Food Truck fare you’ll find anywhere, attendees will enjoy live music, yard games and more in a beautiful outdoor pavilion, directly across the street from The Dow Event Center. Local food truck vendors relish the experience as well.
“We’ve enjoyed setting up our food trucks at the Food Truck Faceoff events over the years,” said Skyler Walker, owner of Kona Ice and Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Trucks, in Saginaw. “It’s an event that’s safe, fun, and a great way to spend time with family and friends while enjoying some delicious food.”
“We wanted to add to our family-friendly summer events at the event park,” said Suzanne Kart, marketing manager for The Dow Event Center and Jolt Credit Union Park. “It brings together great food, great entertainment and a great time in downtown Saginaw.”
Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome at Jolt Credit Union Event Park. The events will be held rain or shine, as the multipurpose outdoor venue includes plenty of seating under its 10,000 square foot pavilion.
The outdoor venue was built in 2013. Jolt Credit Union acquired the naming rights in April of 2022. The event park has attracted big-name musical acts such as ZZ Top, Bryan Adams, Cole Swindell and others.
