In keeping with Etown’s commitment to ADA inclusivity, many trails are paved, providing easy wheelchair and stroller access. Freeman Lake Park offers gorgeous views and much more. Folks can explore the lake via paddle boats and kayaks, enjoy tranquil fishing, and if you have kids be sure to check out the new playground. The American Legion Park has fun for the whole family, a par 3 golf course, tennis and pickleball courts, a water park complete with splash pad, and an ADA inclusive playground.
If you’re interested in trying out any of the activities at Freeman Lake Park or the American Legion Park but don’t want to pack your pickleball or disc golf equipment don’t worry, the Your Gear is Here program has you covered! At each of the parks you can stop in at the Park office and borrow the equipment you need for pickleball, tennis, golf, fishing, and disc golf.
