This summer marks an exciting chapter as Elizabethtown Tourism settles into its stunning new headquarters in the beautifully restored David May House. The building's namesake, David May, left an extraordinary mark on the community through his multifaceted career as a state legislator, innovative entrepreneur, and dedicated public servant during the late 1800s. Through decades of service, May consistently championed improvements that enhanced residents' quality of life.

Elizabethtown is packed with centuries of compelling stories. The town celebrates its history in a number of fascinating ways. The legendary Civil War cannonball embedded in a downtown building is a delightful way to glimpse back in time. History comes alive in an entirely different way through the Kentucky Black Trailblazers, a first-of-its-kind, immersive experience that tells the stories of several influential Black Kentuckians. This isn't just a place where history happened; it's a community that has made its rich heritage accessible, engaging, and seamlessly woven into the fabric of daily life.
