While excited about the Chase Center opportunity, — “it’s just surreal, it seems too good to be true,” Barakat said — she also thinks the Warriors’ decision to highlight the region’s top
food and drink purveyors is not surprising.

The premium lounges will offer “tiered levels of luxury experience,” Jeffers said, including “butler-passed hors d’oeuvres and really nice wine and cocktails in the JP Morgan Club and the courtside lounges. Right outside of the doors are over 30 Michelin-starred restaurants. People know good food; they have expectations and our goal is to try to surpass them.”
“The more earned revenue we can bring in, the more youth we can serve, which we’re very excited to do,” Goines said. “Besides the extra revenue, if we become known as one of the must-go places in San Francisco — if we’re full in the restaurant every night, or known as the place to host your private corporate event or training — that is going to be huge.”
“The guide was published last month (July), but it is meant to be a living document on chasecenter.com and will get updated on a regular schedule in conversation with SFMTA and many other regional transit agencies with whom we are collaborating,” Welts said.
Foot and pedal power are other excellent options, Welts noted. Scenic walkways lead from area Caltrain stations, bus stops and the ferry terminals, for strolls ranging from about five to 20 minutes. And free bike valet for 300 bikes is offered along 16th Street on the south side of Chase Center with multiple bike and scooter racks positioned all around the venue.
Should anyone still wish to arrive the old-fashioned way via car, the Center also offers dedicated loading zones for taxi, paratransit and ride hail services.
“We wanted to make the environment enjoyable, yet still keep them focused on getting things done,” said Golden State Warriors’ Assistant General Manager Kirk Lacob. “The idea is to make the space so attractive and inviting that players will spend as much time as they want here to finish all of their work.”

Top-of-the-line technology, comfortable amenities at Chase Center’s practice facilities

Life is already pretty sweet if you’re a member of the Golden State Warriors. You’re part of a franchise that has been to the NBA Finals for five consecutive years and you’re about to move into an absolute palace of an arena.
A state-of-the-art venue with unparalleled amenities, real-time analytics, sleeping pods, a practice facility on-site — and yes, even a barber shop and a spa for manicures and pedicures. Every square foot of it designed to cater to athletes’ needs and wants.
Lacob and the rest of the Warriors brass are pleased with the results of their exhaustive, multiyear design process that’s in the final phases of construction. The effort included extensive travel, countless hours of consulting sessions and input from the players themselves.
One of the things Lacob is most excited about is the fact that the player’s practice facility is in the same place as where they play the games that count. The Warriors previous home, Oracle Arena in Oakland, was separated from its practice facility. This meant that players had two different lockers in two different locations. Now players only need one locker, made of satinwood and featuring a built-in 32-inch LCD television. Players can not only watch highlights and their favorite shows on the locker-mounted televisions, but also receive teamwide and personal messages from coaches.
Technology abounds within the practice facility. The film room is above and beyond anything the players had access to in their previous practice facility, and the Warriors are employing an innovative analytics tool that provides real-time feedback on a player’s shooting technique and results.
A Noah Shooting System, a sophisticated technology that measures shots from anywhere on the court, is part of the multimillion dollar practice facility. While the Warriors are far from the first team to implement the technology, Lacob and others insisted Noah be included.
The Noah Shooting System provides instant, verbal feedback on a number of key variables, including the ball’s arc, shot depth and if the attempt missed to the left or right. This allows players and coaches to instantly analyze and help calibrate the shooter’s efficiency in real-time.
Chase Center’s adjoining practice facility will also include a modern recovery room for players to receive treatment after practice. A sophisticated hydro area features HydroWorx underwater treadmills, as well as hot and cold pools. The steam room and sauna are also bigger and better than before, providing players with more room to stretch out.
“We really invested a lot of time and thought into elements for the prevention and treatment of injuries,” Lacob said.
There will also be a player lounge, a wholesale upgrade from the old practice facility, Lacob said.
Athletes are finely tuned machines that need the best to perform their best, which is why Chase Center’s new practice facility comes with a fully staffed kitchen.
“There was no space at Oracle for players to hang out,” he said. “The new lounge and recovery room gives players a place to focus on recovery after practice.”
“Key to our design was understanding flow and how a player first shows up,” Lacob said. “Over the last six years we’ve been flying around to various NBA practice facilities seeing what works and what’s overkill.”
As for the manicure and pedicure station, Lacob said more athletes than one might think indulge in the service.
“We’ll have food prepared and delivered on-site,” Lacob said. “We’ll be able to tailor our nutrition to each individual player.”
Lacob also hinted that there would be “Easter Eggs” around the practice facility that would pay homage to the years the Warriors spent in the East Bay. However, he wants to remain tight-lipped about exactly what those little surprises are for the time being.
“These guys are constantly on their feet and always using their hands,” he said. “Players are realizing, ‘Why not take care of them?’”
