Experience the Magic of Jazz in Wine Country:
A 10-Day Festival You Won't Want to Miss
June 13 - 22
Mark your calendar for Friday, June 20, one of the standout concerts and the festival’s main event. Dianne Reeves, with Romero Lubambo, who has garnered praise from fellow musicians and critics alike, impresses with her extraordinary vocal ability and storytelling prowess, creating a captivating experience where the audience is certain to get swept away. A multiple Grammy Award-winning jazz legend and NEA Jazz Master, Dianne has been described by The New York Times as “the most admired jazz diva since the heyday of Sarah Vaughn, Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday.”
The festival's programming also highlights the rich diversity and history of jazz through unique collaborations and events. It’s the kind of festival that offers more than just music – it’s an opportunity to learn from and connect with individuals who share the same passion for the music genre rooted in storytelling and expression.
The festival kicks off on Friday, June 13, with a show that blends seasoned artistry and rising talent: the NEA Jazz Master Kenny Barron and his Trio will mesmerize audiences with their infectious sound, along with special guest Tyreek McDole, an emerging young vocalist. This exceptional music will set the festival’s tone for an unforgettable lineup that boasts an impressive musical lineage and the rising stars of tomorrow. We’re rolling out the red carpet and poppin’ the sparkling!
As the weekend unfolds, Saturday, June 14, brings the Juneteenth Celebration to the Healdsburg Plaza offering inspirational music and poetry. This FREE event will showcase performances by The Dynamic Miss Faye Carol, Orrin Evans Trio, and Tyreek McDole Quintet, along with educational workshops for all ages including poetry from Enid Pickett, Poet Laureate for Healdsburg Jazz. The day will culminate with a late-night performance by Howard Wiley Quartet at Elephant in the Room.
The Healdsburg Jazz Festival is the only one of its kind in the US. Ranked as having one of the top 50 restaurants in the world and earning Forbes rank as number two in the U.S. and world, Healdsburg can nourish the body and soul by making it your destination for the finest music, wine, and culinary cuisine. Pack your bags, and your passion for music, and get ready to experience jazz in the heart of California Wine Country.
Because, as Nina Simone said, "Jazz is not just music, it's a way of life, it's a way of being, a way of thinking." And there’s no better place to experience that than at the Healdsburg Jazz Festival.
Jazz isn’t just music – it’s a way of life. Its pulsating rhythm moves through the soul whether you’re a musician or a fan. If you’re ready to immerse yourself in that rhythm, then California’s Wine Country is the perfect place for you this June. Get ready for an unparalleled 10-day celebration of music, wine, and culture in one of the most breathtaking locations in the world.
This year, the iconic Healdsburg Jazz Festival is expanding to a full 10 days of innovative performances, workshops, and unforgettable experiences. From June 13th through 22nd, jazz lovers will find themselves swept up in the sounds of world-class musicians performing in unique intimate, outdoor venues surrounded by the lush beauty of the Sonoma County wine region.
What sets this event apart? Healdsburg offers an environment comparable to European festivals, minus flying across the Atlantic to enjoy top-tier music and scenic views that equally take one’s breath away. Here, performances are set against the stunning backdrop of exquisite vineyards, statuesque trees, and rolling valleys.
The Bacchus Landing sets the stage for our final day of the festival on Sunday, June 22 – New Orleans Night – spotlighting two all-stars, Nicholas Payton and the legendary Donald Harrison, saxophonist and NEA Jazz master. Recognized as the Big Chief of Congo Square in Afro-New Orleans culture, Harrison has performed with over 200 jazz masters and created three influential styles of jazz. His latest recordings feature his Omniverse Music multi-singles concept. He has mentored artists such as The Notorious Big, Jonathon Batiste, Christian aTunde' Adjuah Scott, Trombone Shorty, and Esperanza Spaulding and is sure to end your week on a high note with his distinctive sound and eclectic music mastery.
For those seeking a more relaxed, intimate vibe, the festival’s late-night concerts are held at local bars and venues like Elephant in the Room and Hotel Healdsburg’s Spirit Bar. With tiered pricing options, there’s an event for every budget. Student pricing is available for larger concerts, and many performances are FREE, like the Juneteenth Celebration and concerts in the Healdsburg Plaza.

Notable late-night performances include Lorca Hart (Friday, June 13), Howard Wiley Quartet (Saturday, June 14), Master Artist in Residence Bruce Forman (Thursday, June 19), and Los Tangueros del Oeste (Friday, June 20). In addition to her honorary doctorate from her alma mater, Berklee College of Music, she has won three Grammy Awards, including a 2013 award for Best Jazz Instrumental Album, which established her as the first female musician to win a Grammy in this category.
