Ardent is the new way to activate cannabis and make edibles in any space with an outlet

very year, you have to make a difficult decision for each person on your holiday shopping list. Should you get them a useful gift that’ll help them get through their day? Would it be better
to buy them a present that will make them feel better and healthier? Or should you just give them something fun? Sometimes, you find that perfect gift that takes care of all of the above.
Ardent makes products that you can use in all sorts of different ways to get the most benefit and enjoyment out of your cannabis. The company has developed devices that decarboxylate (or decarb) cannabis, activating the THC and
making it bioavailable for the body. Once the potential of the cannabis is unlocked, Ardent technology puts the control in your hands, helping you
dose, flavor, serve, and consume it any way you like without expense, time,
or hassle.
The Black woman-owned company was founded in 2015 by Shanel Lindsay, an attorney, mother, activist, entrepreneur, and medical cannabis patient who was suffering with chronic pain from an ovarian cyst that had developed following the birth of her son. She was using cannabis to help manage that pain, but she found that making accurately dosed medicine was almost impossible. It was expensive because there wasn’t a precise and easy-to-use tool to activate THC or CBD.
“I really wanted to lean on the plant’s natural benefits instead of relying on pharmaceuticals,” says Lindsay. “But I found it incredibly frustrating that achieving the proper dosage was such a difficult process. I was determined to find a solution for patients like myself.”

Lindsay teamed up with scientists at MCR Labs to find the exact parameters needed to fully activate cannabis with minimal loss. The result was the Nova.
The Nova Precision Decarboxylator is an infuser that regulates cannabis dosing. The Nova can make small, precise batches using up to one ounce of cannabis or five ounces of kief at a time. It will also decarb flower, kief, concentrate, stems, and more, activating between 97 to 100 percent of cannabinoids in your THC-rich material. Then you can use the Nova to infuse the THC or CBD into oil, butter, ghee, milk, cream, and more. Plus, there’s no messy clean up when you’re finished.
Ardent has followed up the success of the Nova with a revolutionary new product: The Ardent FX all-in-one, portable cannabis kitchen, aka the Easy-Bake Ardent. This DIY device not only activates your plant material, including flower, kief, concentrate, and stems, but it also has settings to infuse, cook, and bake right inside.

The FX holds up to four ounces at a time but can make potent edibles with as little as a gram of flower. It uses a precision odorless process that puts you in control to customize your dose and create edibles, tinctures, topicals, capsules, suppositories, and more that are dialed into your precise required specifications. And it’s suitable for any space with an outlet, as with any regular kitchen appliance — and it comes with a carrying case so you can take it on the go.
“I’ve been using the Ardent FX for several months, and it’s been a welcome addition to my kitchen,” says Marge Madden, host of the popular podcast Bite Me: The Show About Edibles. “Sleek and portable, its simple design belies its usefulness. I can easily decarb upwards of two ounces at a time with the touch of a button and without the pervasive smell that usually accompanies decarboxylation. Pressing a couple of buttons, I can walk away as the Ardent performs its magic. It’s a wonderful tool for any home cook making safe and effective edibles at home.”
Ardent technology is not only great for in-home use, but with the increased capacity of the FX, it can also help produce sale-quality goods for any small business.
“The first couple of times I used the Ardent, I tested the potency and was surprised to see the significant difference in the controlled decarb system,” says Angie Willoughby, The Green Baker, a cannabis chef, connoisseur, and advocate. “Not only was there a significant increase in the THC content of my infusions, but I was also able to accurately translate that into dollars and cents as a business owner. Using the Ardent gave me and my products a level of credibility and made me fiscally more responsible to my business and customers.”

Ardent is also responsible to its customers. Transparency is a core value, and the company regularly releases results from independent lab testing. Ardent is an activist-based company that uses its platform as a global brand to shine a light on issues and address them by providing education and referencing equity.
“I founded Ardent as a biotech and consumer device company focused on improving the science and medicine of cannabis,” says Lindsay. “The company also acts as a bullhorn for issues in the community.”
