Coming up first on September 9, the Energy Zone Wildlife Festival is sure to be quite the party. Visitors will enjoy a dazzling array of activities. A variety of entertainers will be on hand, from live music to magic from Jim Okey, eclectic dance acts to stilt demonstrations from “Incredible Larry.” The Utica Children’s Museum Mobile Museum will delight and entertain, and bounce houses and a Zorb Ball will keep spirits high.
Displays, such as chainsaw sculptures by artist Mark Tyoe, as well as an Arts & Crafts Vendor Market will showcase the best of local artisans and craftspersons. Face painting, a caricature artist, balloon animals, a photo booth and more will ensure that the memories made will last long after the festival ends.
In addition, NYPA will provide free admission to neighboring Utica Zoo, whose white-handed gibbon family just welcomed a baby and where you’ll find a new environment for two North American river otters. This means guests have double the opportunity to explore and celebrate the natural world across two sites.
