Graduate School Wants to Change the World, One Student at a Time
Oblate School of Theology offers programs at the doctoral, master’s, and certificate level, ensuring that everyone seeking a spiritual education finds a place that meets their needs. Several master’s and Ph.D. programs provide flexibility to meet the needs and backgrounds of Oblate’s diverse student population. The Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry offers a bilingual program for students who want to minister in both English and Spanish. This program also recently implemented a competency-based admission, which allows individuals who do not have a bachelor’s degree, but who do have experience in the field, the
opportunity to apply.
For students with accessibility issues, many programs offer remote learning. The Master of Arts in spirituality is available either in person or fully online. This program is populated by students with a wide range of backgrounds and offers exploration from renowned experts in the field of spirituality, across a variety of faith traditions. Students can work toward a Master of Divinity or a Master of Arts in Theology or can enroll in a dual program that incorporates both. Other graduate degree tracks are also available, like the new Master of Arts in Sacred Scripture.
In addition to its master’s level degrees, Oblate School of Theology offers both academic and professional doctoral degrees, as well as opportunities for continuing education and certificate programs that allow anyone, from spiritual leaders to lay people, to deepen and expand their spiritual knowledge. For programs aiming to prepare students for pastoral work, Oblate supports students through practical, hands-on education in the field. An expansive variety of educational opportunities allows Oblate to meet students where they are and give them the tools to succeed.
