The Ask
Block Advisors came to us with a question: how do you make bookkeeping advice feel approachable, engaging, and actually useful to busy small business owners – especially during tax season, when stress and to-do lists are at an all-time high? They wanted to connect with entrepreneurs in a way that felt more like a helpful conversation than a financial seminar. The challenge was delivering technical tips with clarity and relevance, while positioning Block Advisors as a trusted partner in the process.
We created a podcast episode featuring Britney Benson, Block Advisors' lead tax analyst, offering actionable tips on common tax issues, budgeting, and the risks of poor record-keeping. This was paired with a listicle-style sponsored story with expert small business advice on LLCs. The campaign was strategically placed across five Hearst publications in key markets (SFGate, Chron, Times Union, WTAE, and WESH) and targeted to small business owners.
Our Approach
The Outcome
We combine high-quality production with seamless collaboration to bring your brand’s voice to life. From the first idea to the final edit, our podcast team handles the full production journey: scripting, recording support, editing, and all the polishing along the way. Once episodes are polished and approved, we get them in front of the right ears with a custom promotional plan, including distribution across major platforms and optional native landing pages on Hearst’s newspaper and TV sites. Our Process
The Ask
Gannon University wanted to engage prospective students and their families, providing them with an authentic, behind-the-scenes look at the Gannon experience for students. The challenge was to create content that resonated with high school seniors, transfer students, and families navigating the college decision process. They needed a platform to share real stories from students and staff, while addressing key concerns like financial aid or transitioning from high school to college.
Our Approach
We produced "This Is Gannon," an eight-episode branded podcast series that captured the voices and stories of students and faculty, giving listeners a personal, in-depth look at life at Gannon University. Topics like understanding FAFSA, transferring to Gannon, and the first-year experience were tackled with a relatable, conversational tone that spoke directly to prospective students. The episodes were housed within a dedicated content library, offering easy access for prospective students and their families. Each episode was promoted with a minimum of 1M impressions per episode across listening platforms.
The Outcome

StoryStudio delivered nearly 8 million impressions to the content library to Gannon’s key audience.
