While excited about the Chase Center opportunity, — “it’s just surreal, it seems too good to be true,” Barakat said — she also thinks the Warriors’ decision to highlight the region’s top
food and drink purveyors is not surprising.

The premium lounges will offer “tiered levels of luxury experience,” Jeffers said, including “butler-passed hors d’oeuvres and really nice wine and cocktails in the JP Morgan Club and the courtside lounges. Right outside of the doors are over 30 Michelin-starred restaurants. People know good food; they have expectations and our goal is to try to surpass them.”
“The more earned revenue we can bring in, the more youth we can serve, which we’re very excited to do,” Goines said. “Besides the extra revenue, if we become known as one of the must-go places in San Francisco — if we’re full in the restaurant every night, or known as the place to host your private corporate event or training — that is going to be huge.”
“The guide was published last month (July), but it is meant to be a living document on chasecenter.com and will get updated on a regular schedule in conversation with SFMTA and many other regional transit agencies with whom we are collaborating,” Welts said.
Foot and pedal power are other excellent options, Welts noted. Scenic walkways lead from area Caltrain stations, bus stops and the ferry terminals, for strolls ranging from about five to 20 minutes. And free bike valet for 300 bikes is offered along 16th Street on the south side of Chase Center with multiple bike and scooter racks positioned all around the venue.
“The Muni ticket bundling is truly a transit first in San Francisco,” said Warriors President and Chief Operating Officer Rick Welts. “The new shuttle buses connecting people directly to 16th Street BART is another service unique to Chase Center.”

The games, the shows, the thrills, the crowds … and the getting there. Let’s face it, making your way to and from a big concert or big game in a big city can be a challenge, but the Golden State Warriors are working to make it as easy as possible to get to San Francisco’s new Chase Center.
With the newly published Chase Center Event Transportation Guide in print and online, fans can plan convenient routes for trains, buses, ferries, bicycles and walking.
Fans can even funnel in for free, as all game ticket purchases now include what would usually be a VIP bonus: a ticket to ride Muni for free. With a newly expanded platform at the Muni Metro T Line light rail train stop right at Chase Center’s entry, dedicated Muni bus shuttles and several Muni bus stops all within one block, fans will find that connections to BART and the entire Muni system are fast and seamless.

The map and tickets are part of a partnership between the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency and the Warriors to minimize congestion around the 18,000-seat arena, especially because the venue’s thriving Mission Bay neighborhood has limited parking. The Warriors are paying for the Muni tickets, as a way to encourage people to leave their cars at home.
Additionally, the Warriors contributed $29 million to the SFMTA to build new and expanded infrastructure, such as larger train platforms, to handle traffic activity before and after games.
New conveniences include increased schedule frequencies for area trains and express buses, close-by ferry terminals at Pier 48 and Pier 52 and a Muni Owl All-Nighter bus service running until 5 a.m. for destinations including San Francisco, the East Bay and the Peninsula/South Bay.
Still, plans are already ongoing for adding more transportation improvements. Work is underway, for example, to add a new subway connection between Chase Center and the Powell Street BART/Muni station. That is anticipated to open early 2020.
Should anyone still wish to arrive the old-fashioned way via car, Chase Center also offers dedicated loading zones for taxi, paratransit and ride apps.
The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency and the Warriors partnered to offer a free Muni ticket with each Chase Center event ticket.
There is a free Bike Valet (for 300 bikes) along 16th Street on the south side of Chase Center. Bay
Wheels Bike Share stations are available around Chase Center at existing locations as shown on the
map. The Bike Valet will offer overflow bike racks and there will other racks available on public
sidewalks around Chase Center, where people can also conveniently park scooters.
The curb map presents the approximate locations where you should go for a particular transportation service stop, including ride hail and taxi and paratransit services areas.
