Earn and Learn

Working while going to school is a necessity for many people trying to achieve a rewarding career. However, what if you could get a weekly paycheck, pay for college, and attend class, all while actively training for your future career goals? It can happen, and UPS can help. The Earn & Learn Program was designed as part of a strategy to recruit, retain, and develop qualified individuals to help meet the business objectives of the company. Established in 1997, it is a company sponsored educational program enabling students to receive educational assistance to approved post-secondary institutions. All part-time management and non-management employees assigned to Worldport or our ground district (Louisville Centennial, Bluegrass or Clarksville Hubs) would be eligible. Program participants receive assistance up to a total of $5,250 per calendar year for tuition, books, and fees, with a lifetime maximum of $25,000. Your eligibility for the program begins the day you are hired and you can choose any course of study. Benefits are prorated for a student that is hired mid-semester. The Earn & Learn Program is managed by a third party, Edcor. Once an employee is hired, they will use their employee ID to login to Edcor’s website and submit an application. More than 140,000 employees have utilized the Earn & Learn program that is available at more than 100 locations nationwide. Please note that the Earn and Learn program is available to part time employees only. Once you become full-time, you would transition to the Education Assistance Program. How it Works

The Earn & Learn Education Program at UPS allowed me to obtain my Master’s of Science in Organizational Leadership from Indiana Tech University in less than two years, while working full time and supporting my family. I experienced significant educational and personal growth that’s led to advancement opportunities within our organization. I am incredibly grateful for the continued support UPS has provided me through the best education assistance program nationwide.
